That ends Round 78.  This time we lose "I'm Only Sleeping" and "Penny Lane".

BEATLES SONG SURVIVOR - ROUND SEVENTY-NINE

As before, vote off two of the following songs, and list an alternate third choice that will only be used as a tie-breaker if needed. The three surviving songs from this round will be brought back later in the game to compete with the other rounds' survivors.

1.  "Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite!" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon (From Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band)
2.  "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon, with McCartney (From Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band)
3.  "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney and Lennon  (From Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band)
4. "Magical Mystery Tour" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney, with Lennon and Harrison (From Magical Mystery Tour)
5.   "It's All Too Much" (Harrison); Lead vocal: Harrison (From The Yellow Submarine Soundtrack)

(When I end a round and start the next, I'll need to take the songs from the previous round down so that the next round's songs will fit on the website. Therefore the links in each round will still show up, but they won't work once that round has ended.)

You can join in the game anytime. You don't need to have been voting from the beginning to play.

This is undoubtedly the toughest round yet. I think I'll wait to see what songs look like they'll be axed before casting my votes.

The longer I look at these songs the harder it is to vote.

1-  Across The Universe
2-  All You Need Is Love

3-  Hey Bulldog

No, that's not Ringo.  The Long and Winding Road: A History of the Beatles on Record, by Neville Stannard, says its Paul;  Lennon, by Ray Coleman, says its John.  It's clearly not Ringo.
