(While I was writing this post, Brendan cast his votes. Now there's a four-way tie for first and second place... and I don't see how I can save the two I really want saved ("I Am The Walrus" and "All You Need Is Love", but... I'll do my best)
Alright.... *heavy sigh* We just can't lose "I Am The Walrus". That has to make it to the final rounds. It's just one of the greatest of all Beatles songs. And, it's now tied for first place. I have to correct that. BUT... that means I'd have to vote for "Hey Bulldog" to go to save it... and I just love that song. How can "All You Need Is Love" go? It's in first place to get tossed this round. That's been one of the most inspirational songs for me all my life... "There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. ....." As a calming device when I find myself just on the edge of madness... I play this song in my head, and I instantly feel stronger and better about life. Some people read the Bible for that... I listen to the Beatles. Across the Universe--sheer poetry. Beautiful. Simple, yet elegant. One of the most perfect songs ever written. And then there's "Revolution 1", which is for me the easiest choice this round (yes, LP, we do still have the single version). But... voting for that won't save the others. So... I guess this is how I have to vote: 1) Hey Bulldog 2) Revolution 1 3) Across the Universe

That ends Round 80. We had a tie, so I used the point system. Here's how they panned out: "Hey Bulldog" - 17; "Across The Universe" - 15; "I Am The Walrus" - 13; "All You Need Is Love" - 9; "Revolution 1" - 6. So, we lose "Hey Bulldog" and "Across The Universe". BEATLES SONG SURVIVOR - ROUND EIGHTY-ONEAs before, vote off two of the following songs, and list an alternate third choice that will only be used as a tie-breaker if needed. The three surviving songs from this round will be brought back later in the game to compete with the other rounds' survivors. 1. "Blackbird" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney; from The Beatles (The White Album) 2. "Revolution" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon; from Past Masters, Vol. 23. "Hey Jude" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney; from Past Masters Vol. 24. "Yer Blues" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon; from The Beatles (The White Album) 5. "Dear Prudence" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon; from The Beatles (The White Album) (When I end a round and start the next, I'll need to take the songs from the previous round down so that the next round's songs will fit on the website. Therefore the links in each round will still show up, but they won't work once that round has ended.)You can join in the game anytime. You don't need to have been voting from the beginning to play.

1 Yer Blues2 Blackbird3 Dear PrudenceChessie there will be no stopping you now that you have wheels. Congratulations. No speeding now!! Matt it is getting that I don't want to play any more as it is almost impossible to vote any songs off, however I will force myself to continue to the bitter end.
