"My role in society, or any artist's or poet's role, is to try and express what we all feel. Not to tell people how to feel. Not as a preacher, not as a leader, but as a reflection of us all." - John Lennon This round of five songs finishes off the John Lennon tribute. The first four are from John's seventh solo album which he recorded with Yoko, Double Fantasy, released November, 1980. The last song is from the Milk and Honey album, released by Yoko after John's death in January, 1984. "Starting Over" (Lennon) "Woman" (Lennon) "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)" (Lennon) "Watching the Wheels" (Lennon) "Nobody Told Me" (Lennon)

That ends Round 88. This time we lose "Day Tripper" and "Yesterday". BEATLES SONG SURVIVOR - ROUND EIGHTY-NINEAs before, vote off two of the following songs, and list an alternate third choice that will only be used as a tie-breaker if needed. The three surviving songs from this round will be brought back later in the game to compete with the other rounds' survivors. 1. "Nowhere Man" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon, with McCartney and Harrison (From Rubber Soul) 2. "Think For Yourself" (Harrison); Lead vocal: Harrison, with Lennon and McCartney (From Rubber Soul) 3. "Tomorrow Never Knows" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon (From Revolver) 4. "Rain" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon, with McCartney and Harrison (From Revolver) 5. "Eleanor Rigby" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney, with Lennon (From Revolver) (When I end a round and start the next, I'll need to take the songs from the previous round down so that the next round's songs will fit on the website. Therefore the links in each round will still show up, but they won't work once that round has ended.)You can join in the game anytime. You don't need to have been voting from the beginning to play.

I'm really sorry I didn't get a round up last night. I was out until late, and then I just was so tired I couldn't put the round up. We'll see if the usual members have the opportunity to still vote in this next round, and if not, I'll keep the round open an extra day. Anyway..... Round 89 is over, and this time we lost "Think For Yourself" and "Rain".
