First read about it in THIS article. I opened the page hoping to see that Michael Jackson was going to be forced to sell the publishing rights to the Beatles songs, now that he's faced with severe financial difficulties. I'd love to see Paul be able to get his songs back.

The Beatles are suing EMI!!

LONDON – Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and relatives of their Beatles' bandmates are suing EMI PLC to recover what they claim is more than $53 million in unpaid royalties, their company said Friday.

I consider it one my best.  It's a beautiful song, and I really like all the things that are happening in it.

Me too, but it's too late to save it now. It's way ahead in the voting. 

The votes for "Helter Skelter" are killing me as well. "Helter Skelter" and "Don't Let Me Down" are tied for 2nd place, so one of them will have to go as soon as I tally up the points.

That's it for Round 92. We had a tie, so I used the until-now infallible point system. For the first time, we still don't have two clear "losers", because there was a tie for 2nd and 3rd place. Here's how the votes panned out: "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" - 18; "Don't Let Me Down" - 9; "Get Back" - 9; "Dear Prudence" - 8; "Helter Skelter" - 8; "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" - 2.  So, we lose "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" for sure. But what about the second song to get tossed? I decided to go back to the way the regular votes came in for those two songs ("Don't Let Me Down" and "Get Back"), and give the edge to the song that had less regular votes. "Don't Let Me Down" had 3 votes (as did "Helter Skelter") but "Get Back" had only 2. Therefore...  "Don't Let Me Down" will be the other song to go this round.



BEATLES SONG SURVIVOR - ROUND NINETY-THREE

This is the last round for the fourth run-through. There are six songs left, but we'll still be voting off two songs, and listing a third choice that will only be used as a tie-breaker if needed. The three surviving songs from this round will be brought back later in the game to compete with the other rounds' survivors.

"The Beatles Christmas Record" was a fan club only special release. Recorded on October 17, 1963 (the same day they recorded "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and "This Boy") and released December 6, 1963, this was sent out only to Beatles Fan Club members. Only about 30,000 copies were pressed.
