That's it for Round 97. This time we lose "Help!".

BEATLES SONG SURVIVOR - ROUND NINETY-EIGHT

For the remaining rounds, I'll be posting three songs. We'll be voting off one song, and listing a second choice that will only be used as a tie-breaker if needed.

1.  "Nowhere Man" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon, with McCartney and Harrison (From Rubber Soul)
2. "Tomorrow Never Knows" (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: Lennon  (From Revolver)
3.  "Eleanor Rigby"  (Lennon/McCartney); Lead vocal: McCartney, with Lennon (From Revolver)

(When I end a round and start the next, I'll need to take the songs from the previous round down so that the next round's songs will fit on the website. Therefore the links in each round will still show up, but they won't work once that round has ended.)

You can join in the game anytime. You don't need to have been voting from the beginning to play.

"The Beatles Seventh Christmas Record" was recorded in the Fall of 1969 and released only to their fan club members on December 19, 1969. The artwork was done by Ringo and his son, Zak Starkey.

Here are the sleeve notes, courtesy of http://www.pictographics.com/xmas/uk.html :

Quote
THE BEATLES SEVENTH CHRISTMAS RECORD sleeve notes:

From Ascot in Berkshire, from Weybridge in Surrey, from St. John's Wood in the Borough of Marylebone and from Apple in the West End, John Ringo Paul and George send you these tapes of love and greetings soldered into a collective disc by the iron wrist of Maurice Cole. The Beatles wish all of you a happy Christmas and may the Seventies Give Peace a Chance.

Listen to it here: "The Beatles Seventh Christmas Record" (1969)
