Quote
During Sunday's panel discussion on Music For Film, actor/musician Kevin Bacon said an actor's input on a film soundtrack is not always appreciated, exemplified by his unsuccessful attempt to get director Clint Eastwood to use a particular band in his score for the movie "Mystic River."

Yeah, well anyway that sounds logical.
I mean, an actor is only supposed to be ... acting. Right?

The choice of the music belongs to the director.

He's the only one who really knows what the film will look like once shooting's over ---> he knows better what music to use.

But, it doesn't mean that he can't listen to the actors'suggestions. I'm sure they can be very good sometimes  :)

quite look at the spaghetti westerns and the actors influence

sure the director no doubt gets feedback and input

just wondering what the band was
