This doesn't happen often in my city (in fact only two "high profile" films have had scenes shot here) but a TV-Movie/Pilot for ABC is having some scenes shot in a park downtown. It's been all Americanized!  American flags, a ferris wheel, carnival games etc... :o Dean Winters, Amy Acker, Frances Conroy and M.C. Gainey are the lead actors. I saw Dean Winters, who I know from "OZ", "Rescue Me" and "30 Rock" sitting on a bench Thursday night. He was chatting with some other actors and then later he was just walking around chatting on his cell phone. Rain today forced them to delay the last day of shooting and I guess they scrambled to build a set in a random building downtown and hauled in pieces from Toronto to pick up a day of shooting. It's been the talk-of-the-town the past week.

Those other two movies I mentioned are The Skulls and A Christmas Story.

So today was the final day of shooting. Took one last stroll around set just know at 3:30AM!! They're setting up another scene and getting the lighting figured out. I was getting cold and the extras started filing in but I knew it would still be a while yet till the cameras rolled. I decided to leave when a van pulls up and out pops Dean Winters! Got my picture with him. He was pretty cool about taking the few minutes to do it.  8)

EXTREME LED SHEEP!  ;D

Sure it's basically a Samsung commercial but it's still pretty cool.

I saw a bunch of dogs in cars today. I mean, they weren't driving or anything, but I just wondered if it was like "Take Your Dog to Work Day," or something along those lines.

Are you SURE they weren't driving, Christopher? Maybe it's "Drive Your Human to Work Day!" ;D

A dogs legs are too short to reach the pedals and they don't have opposable thumbs so they'd have a hard time handling the steering wheel. Pretty much all they could do is lick the windows.  :D  ;D

Whenever I took Sadie to a shopping center, as soon as I got out of the truck she'd take over the drivers seat behind the steering wheel. I never left the keys in the ignition, she was pretty smart and there's no sense tempting fate.  :D  :D  ;D  ;D

Meg always sits behind the steering wheel if I leave her in the car.  I don't leave the keys in the ignition either!!  :) :)

It didn't take Sadie long to learn how to honk the horn either. People would be looking at my truck, I'd turn and walk away and be quick about my business.  ;D  ;D
