I knew it!  I can spot a fellow fan. :D  There are few of us on here.  I agree with your comments, and it's been said before on here that it's good to see a mature romance portrayed so well on film, so I didn't laugh! O0

Yes, indeed. It's a wonderful film and so beautifully crafted by Clint Eastwood. I love it because many of us can relate to it in many different ways. I love stories like that which are so true to life.

And let's not forget; this film would not have worked if it were not for the amazing acting of Clint Eastwood and especially Meryl Streep who gave one of the best performances of her career. She acted brilliantly. When she was supposed to be shy, she appeared to be shy, when she was relaxed and reserved and laughing, you can tell she was finally warmed up to the character of Robert Kinkaid. She sold her character right down to the bone. I believe this is arguably Meryl's finest work.

Meryl was wonderful in the movie, they had amazing chemistry. She was Clint's choice and thankfully the right one.

Meryl is a marvel to look at in this role and that accent is to die for.  :-*

Hola!

New to this forum, but it looks good!!

Not sure if this is the right place to put this thread but we are now living in Tabernas in Almeria where our friend Clint filmed some of his westerns.  We wanted to set up a holiday horse riding business here giving people the opportunity to ride through some of the scenery that made some of the westerns so special.

We also did it for the love of the horses and the way of life here.  Very laid back and always sunshine!!!

Feel free to look at our site and hope to hear comments from other people.  (Including the man himself!).

Hasta pronto!!!!

They did.  I think they were both perfect for their roles - I can't imagine anyone else playing either one of their characters.  I agree that it's her best role, too.

Hi Roberto, and welcome to the board.  Riding in the land of spaghetti westerns would certainly be a cool thing to do. O0  I've always fancied doing one of those all inclusive trips to a ranch in the States.

Hello  my name is  Kelly and I found  this website through my mom on her computer. I make  cards  for family and friends and I was wondering if I could send a card to Clint Eastwood. I would like an address to send my card to if this is possible. I have seen Clint Eastwood ever since his movie Pale Rider. He is a very good actor and director. My husband and I have seen Flags of our Father and knew from wathing the movie, that he is a very great director.

Thanks  for reading my E-mail and I hope you get this E-mail.
              Sincerely Kelly and Pee Lee

Hello! :) I'm new but I already know some people here since they are also members on the Leone boards (TB, Jill and CJ at least). I counted I've seen fifteen films either stared or directed by eastwood, but sadly I can't remember everything about them all (Dirty Harrys :-X). I also added me in the map. Now I'm the third member from Finland!

I can't promise that I'll be a very active member, but I'm still here.

Hey moviesceleton!!! Welcome to the Clint Forums buddy. It took you long enough. I think you'll find you'll love it here just as much as the Leone Forums.

When he refers to TB, he's talking about me. I'm Tucumcari_Bound over at the Leone Forums but am under a different alias here as everyone can see.  :)
