Play Misty for Me would be great, but I've only got a taped of TV version, not a DVD.

Well Masterchief, we can't have you missing out so I guess we ought to pick another movie.  I don't mind (so long as I have it on DVD) what we watch.  As Americanbeauty said we new ones learn a lot from the experienced board members and it is great to see what others think about certain scenes.  It throws a whole new light on the movie when you can discuss it with other fans.   Lin :D

Thanks Lin. but I don't want to spoil it for everyone else. I'll just make-do with the copy I've got. I don't think it is acctually that bad, it has no adverts in, so I should be able to stay on track.

Sure, AmericanBeauty... we should get our next Movie Night organized. Thanks for the reminder!

We were going to try to work this out so that wkc (and any other Australian members) would be able to join in too. But, I haven't seen wkc around for two weeks now! I hope he's alright, and has just been busy with the holidays (or staying away from the board to avoid any spoilers for Million Dollar Baby.)  If he's not going to be around for it, I'd like to keep the same day and time that worked for us last time... which was a Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM EST (2:00 PM Pacific, 10:00 PM in England). We could do it Sunday, January 23rd. (wkc, if you're going to be around for it and want to join us, let us know and we'll see about doing this on a Saturday instead (which would be a Sunday morning for you.)

Everyone who's interested in participating in the next Movie Night should check in here and let us know. I'd like to see at least five people "sign up" for us to get one going.

In the meanwhile, I'll start a poll for everyone to vote on what movie we should watch. Only vote if you're planning on joining us. Look for the poll in the Trivia Games forum.

I just edited my post above to reflect the new day and time for the next movie night. Here's the info:

DATE:  Sunday, January 23rd
TIME:  5:00 EST (2:00 PST,  10:00 England)
WHAT:  Most popular movie voted on by our members in THIS poll
WHERE:  A new thread here in the Trivia Games Forum starting that night.

Everyone who wants to join us should check in here.

The movie that won out in the poll was A Fistful of Dollars. I've locked the poll so we could announce the film in time for anyone who didn't have the movie to be able to track down a copy.

Looking forward to watching the movie with everyone.

I can't make it, I'm going to France that day. I'm really really really annoyed now. Sorry to be such a letdown.

EDIT: I just realised that the movie night is next Sunday, not the upcoming one. Count me in.

Great to learn you can make it Masterchief.  Fistful of Dollars should be brilliant if there are a number of us watching.  :)   I go along with you vik on the MDB.
