Since the "Next movie night" thread is locked down, time to place my opinion here.

Our next movie should be ..... the Super Bowl!  :P

Argue over plays, chew out refs, trash talk everybody against you, ruin your keyboard with the nacho cheese on your fingers.

The Super Bowl is turning into a good ole' American holiday! People across the nation, joining together for 4 hours in the best sports event of the nation. And in the end, a country split worse than the post election results.

Even our European friends can join us in this event, if they get FOX. If they don't, well, they can watch a western instead.

Whose with me?!?!

Can't you follow the Super Bowl on a football or other sports forum? It certainly isn't something that's appropriate for the Clint Eastwood Web Board.

Any plans for another movie night?

Let's hope so. Lilly.     Are we going to watch Play Misty for Me or something else?   Notice please as I may not have it on DVD.

Just an aside.  As this Sunday is too short a notice it will be five weeks before I can join in as my work hours are rather difficult.  ??? :'( :'( :'(

I started a new poll for what the next Movie Night movie will be. I didn't include The Outlaw Josey Wales in the choices this time, since we just watched a western together last month.  I included The Bridges of Madison County since everyone has been talking about that movie so much lately.

Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be able to make a Movie Night this month. Things are so nuts right now in my life, that I can't plan more than an hour ahead. So, I'll just have to wing it, and hopefully I'll be able to join you.

We could maybe swing a Movie Night this weekend, since most of the members who participate are also the ones who check in  here so frequently that they'd see this in time. Lin, did you mean that if it wasn't this weekend, it wouldn't be until the end of March that you'd be able to make a Sunday Movie Night? If that's the case, I'd like to push for this weekend. The following weekend (Sunday, February 27th) is the Academy Awards, and we'll all be wanting to watch that, so that night is out. And that brings us to March already. So, everyone who's interested, check in and let me know if you can make it this Sunday... and also vote for the movie you'd like to watch.

HERE is the link for the new poll. Vote for the movie you want to see.

O0  I'll be here this Sun. 20th Feb.

Hope you can make it Matt, and things aren't too nuts in a bad way.

Looking forward to it, whenever we do it.   8)

Well, for the next few weeks, or even months, my house is on the market, and realtors may be calling for me to leave so they can show it. I'm imagining the weekends will be the busiest time for that, so I really won't know even that day what's going to happen. But, you know if I can make it, I'll be here.

I guess moving/selling is always stressful, I hope it goes well.  They must do things differently over there, here we've always shown potential buyers around ourselves - no annoying estate agents (as we call "realtors" in that weird Brit speak).

I think I can make it, Matt ... does Katie have to leave the house too when the buyers show up?

Especially Katie! Her ferocity would scare potential buyers away. She's ferociously loving to everyone who comes to the door.

That's some watchdog I've got.

I am in for February 20th.  O0 O0 O0

Bridges or Misty Don't mind will go with the flow. I have voted though!

The next time I can join in will be April 3 and the following 3 Sundays.    It is quite a pain that my hours are so difficult.  Luckily I have the 27th off so I can see the Oscars.

Thank you so much for considering me and my hours.

Lin ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Is this going to be a "Girls Night Out"? We need some more testosterone if I'm going to be anywhere near this month's movie night if it winds up being Bridges. Masterchief, Dannyman, Brendan, D'Amb, Christopher?

Ok, count me in! Sorry to be so late to the show, Matt, thanks for the heads-up & invitation.  Of course "Bridges" would be terrific.....and (Lin/Lilly/Vik) there is no translation required! ;D ;D

I voted for The Gauntlet since I own that one. I own Play Misty For Me as well but I haven't had time to watch it since recieving it. I already watched The Notebook this week so I don't think that I could handle two chick flicks  :P in one week.
