I used to have this short 'mock-umentary' on VHS tape back when I was collecting before but regrettably parted with it when I sold most of my collection to buy my first place.  By an amazing coincidence, the person I sold it to has been selling his collection on ebay recently and I have managed to buy this back!

It's a funny 22 minute programme starring and narrated by Charlie Sheen - it follows Charlie 'The Rookie' as he prepares for filming with Clint on The Rookie - all of the principle cast are there playing 'jokey' versions of themselves as they pretend not to know who Charlie is & keep mistaking him for Martin Sheen!

Has anyone else seen this one before?  I'll see if I can post some screen-grabs another day.

I think I remember philo saying something about a Rookie documentary that might be better than the film itself. Sounds like something that should have went on the DVD release! :D

I recall Philo's talking about this featurette, too.

JSE, I moved your post up here to General Discussion since it seems you don't want to sell the item again! If Philo or anyone else who has seen this wants to discuss it  ... here's the place. :)

Thanks, room335  O0

I had a problem, though. I re-encoded the files to get the avi format, but I could only watch Part 2. I couldn't play Parts 1 & 3.
Do they play OK on your computer?

You will have to register in order to be able to download the videos. It doesn't take long and it's free.

That's great that you all could get to watch it (thanks room335!) - I thought it was a different kind of thing for Clint to do and quite funny!

Thanks AB for posting those screencaps, they were pretty much the images I was going to choose! - I'm still at the 'figuring out how to do it' stage!

Yes it was me and yes I still think this is better than the movie itself .... and shorter.

I am so pleased that people are at last able to see it.

Dang,

I can`t see these clips.  Am I doing something wrong?

I would really like to see these clips as I one of the few that really likes The Rookie.
Yeah, I know, please be gentle.
I don`t know what it is about the film that I like, I just do.  Sorry.  I now expect to get a ribbing from all you guys now.
I did, however, totally loathe the character Lt. Ray Garcia, gees, he really ground my gears!!

Anywho,

Any advice on how to view these clips would be superb.  Even better, why not email me them if you can???

Cheers,

Davy

Thanks for repeatedly uploading these files for Web Board members, room335! 8)

I edited your post so the links would work. :)

Davy, and anyone else who hasn't viewed these videos yet: You have to register with YouSendIt.com before you can download them. However, the process is painless and free.

A big, big thanks to Room335.  O0

I`ve saved it to my pc and just watched it.  Good fun.

Why did`nt they just stick that on to the DVD as an extra I`ll never know.   Its stuff like that we all want to see.  I`m pretty damn sure that there is a hell of a lot of material out there.

We should start a petition to get these little gems added to the DVD titles.

Thanks again.
