I was just curious to know what you guys thought of the soundtracks.


I own both, and I find that Letters is better. Very moving and much more emotionally charged than Flags, but that's just me.

Wasn't the main theme the same for both films?  That's really the only song I remmeber from the movies.  It's a great tune.

Eastwood composed the score for Flags, and his son Kyle did the score for Letters. I just re-watched Flags with a friend, and we were commenting that Clint's eight-note main theme seems a bit overworked. Other than that it's very effective.

The main theme in Letters isn't the same, though it's in the same general musical ballpark.
