Yay!  O0

Check this out, it's the site for it.  It says there is a making of documentary.  :)

http://www.whvdvd-collections.com/index.php?collection=11&product=127

And this:

http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_item.asp?item_id=1386507

says that there's a commentary from Jack Green & Joel Cox.  Too bad it's not from Clint & Meryl, but I wasn't expecting there to be one anyway (although that would be awesome!,) but this still might be interesting.  :)

Yes, I'm watching it right now.

It's called "An Old Fashioned Love Story: the Making of The Bridges of Madison County" and has present-day interviews with Clint, Meryl, cinematographer Jack Green, editor Joel Cox, screenwriter Richard LaGravenese, production designer Jeannine Claudia Oppewall, producer Kathleen Kennedy and the supporting actors Annie Corley, Victor Slezak and Jim Haynie.

And yes, the feature-length audio commentary track is with Jack Green and Joel Cox. There's also a "Doe Eyes" music video and the theatrical trailer. Oh, and it's a crisp widescreen transfer.

How long is the "making of" feature? (an hour? 30 minutes?)

I'm sure it's gonna be fast, Lin, no worries.

I really enjoyed the making of.

I wish they had dwelt a little more on a couple of things though. I would have liked Eastwood himself to talk about that kitchen scene. In depth. I would have liked to know what he felt. But I guess that's not really making of material. More like a scene-by-scene analysis or something.

Plus, and probably more importantly, not really Clint's style to publicly analyze his own work.

Around the same time this film came to theaters. There was a book with photographs of the making of bridges. Does anyone know what the title of it was, I can't think of it?

Probably you're thinking of The Bridges of Madison County: the Film (New York, NY : Warner Books, ©1995), featuring photographs by Ken Regan, the still photographer on the shoot (who lent Clint his cameras to "star" in the film). Besides the "picture book" part, which tells the story of the film in a series of stills, there's a postscript by Claudia Glenn Dowling, "A Visit to Madison County," which is about the making of the film.

The book is readily available from the usual sources, including e-Bay, which is where I found this photo:

The ISBN is 0446519979.

Not yet. I've only watched the making of.

I love that book. A must-have for any BOMC fan.
