I sure hope you can join us in the future Ellen. The more the merrier. Although it would be a little hard to follow if you haven't seen the film before. When I first joined the board, I was wary of participating in these nights as I didn't think I could post and watch at the same time and still follow the film and it would be difficult if you haven't seen the film before, but many of us have seen the film that we choose for movie nights several times, so it's easier to follow and post at the same time without missing much.

Yep, I surely aim to join in, when I can. If it's a movie I haven't seen yet, like this one, I will start it a tad earlier, and see if that works good enough. That was my plan for this one, until I realized I couldn't make it at all. If that idea doesn't work, I will make sure from then on, that I view it beforehand. Then I'll simply watch it again, on movie night. It's Clint. I can handle two viewings.  ;)
I'll be leaving in a bit, but I still plan to watch this movie as soon as I get home. Then I'll check out the thread. I don't leave until 4:30 p.m. EST, so I'm missing it completely. I do believe the ending was spoiled for me, some time back. They didn't realize I hadn't seen it yet. I will know for sure, later tonight. Hopefully I read too much in to what they were saying.

I realized that he had been here just a few minutes before.
I was lying where the water had run down his body . . . and I found that intensely erotic.
Almost everything about Robert Kincaid . . . had begun to seem erotic to me.

I ran a night later than what I was planning. I just finished it.
I didn't read enough into what they were saying, or I wouldn't have watched it. It's me, it's not the movie, but I will never watch this again.
So much for my, "It's Clint. I can handle two viewings" theory.

What didn't you like about it?

There weren't enough happy moments in the film, in between all the tragedies, awful people, struggles, etc . . .
It was way too depressing for me.
