Question about the Movie Bullitt starring Steve Mcqueen

I have never seen this movie before.  Just the trailer only.  It looks good based on the trailer.  Is this movie pretty good?  Im always wanting to buy great older classic movies.  And Im wanting to own at least one movie of the major movie stars from several yrs ago.  Actors like Mcqueen paul Newmann, etc.

thanks

^ I merged the above post by Rawhide7, which was in a thread by itself, with this "classic movies" thread. I had to edit it to get the title of the movie he's asking about into the post, so I hope that's OK with R7!

I noticed at least one mention of Bulitt among the earlier posts here, so perhaps that will go a little way towards answering the question. :)

Buy it. I haven't seen it in years but McQueen is always good value.  8)

Thanks SK and Grant.

I'm fine with it KC. That's the perfect place for my question. I actually forgot about that post. And I'm the one that started it. Thanks

Speaking of old B&W films, has any seen the 1937 French film, Grand Illusion ?

It’s being shown here next Monday as part of a classic Monday movies season.

Grand Illusion is a deeper, richer precursor to The Great Escape. It's an excellent movie and you shouldn't miss a chance to see it on the big screen.

Just finished watching 1954 rear window starring James Stewart. Love this movie. It seems to always relax me and put me in a good mood. Great classic movie. It's my favorite classic movie. It's a wonderful life is a very close second for me. But wanted to update this thread and get some of your thoughts on rear window 1954 and some of your favorite older classic movies.
