Welcome to the all new "Degrees of Separation" thread.

To make things easier, we've made a complete list of all the actors who were used in the old thread from the last 5 years or so. You'll find it here:

Degrees Of Separation:Actors We've Used

So now there's no need to ask, "Has this person been used before?" You can check out all the names.

The list will be updated at the end of each month to include the names used in this game.

If you're new to the Board and wish to play along, the rules are quite simple. All you have to do is connect the nominated person to a film in which Clint appears, in one step. The first person to make the connection gets to post the next one.

For example:

Tom Hanks (Tom Hanks appeared in The 'Burbs with Bruce Dern, who was in Hang 'Em High)

It's that simple!!

The chief rule to remember is that the Eastwood film must be a feature film in which Clint had a major role as an actor. That means only films from 1964 on (A Fistful of Dollars) are eligible. The films he made in the 1950s and his television work are ineligible, along with the films that he only directed, but did not appear in. Also, when you're looking for a film to make the link with, TV movies, TV series, Animated films and Documentaries are ineligible.

And we do want to use only people who have acted in the movies in question, on both sides of the link, so if you pick a musician or someone who's better known as a director, the connection has to be made through a film in which he or she appeared as an actor, and the linked-to person also has to appear in both films as an actor. So, for instance, you can't link someone to a film that was directed by Don Siegel, and then say "Siegel appeared in Play Misty for Me."

Finally, we prefer it if you give the title of the Eastwood film, even if it's well known that an actor was in it. So, for instance, say "Alfre Woodard was in The Core with Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby)" rather than just "Alfre Woodard was in The Core with Hilary Swank."

Have fun!

Richard Earl who did most of the work on getting the list of actors we've used up and running, has the honor of posting the first one!

Anthony Quinn was in Ulisse (aka Ulysses, 1954) with Silvana Mangano, who starred in all the segments of Le streghe/The Witches and therefore also in the one that Clint was in. I hope that's OK; not sure we've used The Witches before, but it ought to be "legal" by the newly posted rules.  :)

New one: My friend Peter Kybart. I was sure we'd used him before, but maybe it was on the old Board ... he's not on the list.
