Really sad to hear of the passing of Trevor Bolder.. David Bowie's original bass player in The Spiders from Mars..
Only in his early 60's, a fantastic musician and played on many of Bowie's greatest records..

I was so sorry to learn of James Gandolfini's death. 51 is so young.

He was fantastic in The Sopranos.

I've seen the three different film versions of I Am Legend but have never read the book.  But I like his writing style, based on a collection of short stories I have of his. I would think What Dreams May Come would be a fascinating read. He's always been a writer I wanted to read more of. RIP.

Elmore Leonard, the great crime novelist, died on Tuesday at the age of 87.

R.I.P. Elmore Leonard.

I've read a lot of his books, and there was a time when I devoured them one after another. Then the day came when I couldn't force myself to read another. I tried, and would give up a couple chapters in. Still, I have fond feelings toward those books I read and the joy they brought, and of course he's the writer of Rum Punch, which was made into one of my very favorite movies, Jackie Brown.
