I know a woman who is 91, and still getting around. I know a man who was walking around until he was 102--He died at 103. So, when I say Eiko Ishioka, 73, was young, I'm coming from that perspective. RIP.

I was so sad to hear of the death of Louisiana Red.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/feb/27/louisiana-red

I loved his music. He played with so many great Blues and Jazz artists. Drifitin is one of my favourite albums.

RIP.

I just heard that Davy Jones from the Monkees has passed. That's sad, I was a big fan of their tv series when
I was a kid. Jones was only 66... too young.

RIP, Louisiana Red.

Davy Jones? Noooooooo! Now I know I'm getting old!

His Website doesn't even have his passing on it--It's talking about concert dates! How sad!

R.I.P. Davy Jones.

I also loved the show when I was kid, and I remember catching a bunch of episodes again on MTV.  Coincidentally I already had their TV series in my Netflix queue.  In a couple of weeks I should get to it, and I've been really looking forward to watching it again.  It's too bad it'll be with the knowledge that Davy has passed on.  He was way too young.

R.I.P Davy.

I just had to play Daydream Believer and boy did that bring back some memories. I liked all their music but that one was a real favourite. I really liked the Monkees. He was far too young at 66.

I just heard a nice quote from Davy about the Monkees

We were a fabricated band that grew into a real band"

I kinda liked that, they came up with some great pop tunes and their tv series was pleasingly surreal.
