Phil appeared in Eastwood's comedy Every Which Way But Loose and credited with songs it's soundtrack as well as the sequel, Any Which Way You Can.
I had forgotten that, if I ever knew it. From IMDb's soundtrack listing for Every Which Way but Loose: Don't Say You Don't Love Me No More Written by Phil Everly (as P. Everly) and J. Paige Sung by Sondra Locke and Phil Everly ... and another Sondra Locke favorite, "One Too Many Women in Your Life," from Any Which Way You Can, was "Written by John Durrill (as J. Durrill) and Phil Everly (as P. Everly)." Everly was uncredited for his on-screen appearance with Locke in Every Which Way but Loose, but, again according to the IMDb, it was his only appearance in a feature film. I heard an interesting comment by his brother, Don Everly, on the radio ... as reported on People.com: "I was listening to one of my favorite songs that Phil wrote and had an extreme emotional moment just before I got the news of his passing," he said. "I took that as a special spiritual message from Phil saying good-bye." R.I.P.
