John "The Elephant Man" Hurt has passed away

I don't think I'll ever forget the first time I saw Mr. Hurt, in 1979's Alien.

Of course, he was incredible in the 1980 biopic, The Elephant Man.

He showed up in Paul McCartney's 1982 music video, Take It Away.

God Bless, Rest In Peace

John Hurt also starred in the film adaptation of Orwell's 1984 ... a book that has once again shot to the top of bestseller lists.

The funkiest and most sampled drummer in history.. Especialy well  known for his recordings with James Brown..
A legend amongst all  musicians and a major influence on so many.. inc me..

I was very surprised to hear of Bill Paxton's death yesterday afternoon. Near Dark is one movie of his I saw a long time ago that I liked a lot.

Robert Osborne, the host from Turner Classic Movies, has died at the age of 84. I've missed his introductions for the last while that he'd been absent on TCM.

Every time we lose a big one, I can't help but think "and yet, Keith Richards is still alive."

And then, found this was posted on Keith Richards' official Facebook page tonight:

I saw a Facebook post from Chuck Berry's page mentioning that plans for his upcoming album were going to continue as scheduled. I'm looking forward to hearing some new material from him.

Just came across this on Facebook.

Fess Parker dies at 85; actor played Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone on TV

I'd watch Parker's Daniel Boone show sometimes with my dad when visiting him in Maine.

God Bless & Rest In Peace, sir.
