Charlie and Ennio Morricone on the same day?  :(

This is a sad day for Nashville. You can't go to the honkytonks without hearing a cover of this. He was amazing on fiddle.

Having just watched Charlie Daniels' body returned to his hometown with hundreds of his fans lining the streets, let's give the man an encore. My other favorite song he'd perform (not his composition):

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/EcLq4C-GPnQ" target="_blank" class="new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/EcLq4C-GPnQ</a>

I saw him in 1981 in Philly, well before I'd ever think I'd live in Tennessee. This hits harder than I'd expect it to.

Sorry, but just one more... I've never seen a bow shredded like this in just about 8 minutes:

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/i2fih2p4HMY" target="_blank" class="new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/i2fih2p4HMY</a>

There's no point in using it again, so he throws it to the audience. What a legend.

Sad to hear about these deaths over the last couple days. I enjoyed watching Regis Philbin. I used to watch the morning show quite a bit when I had the chance, and regularly watched the original Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

(This was originally part of my post that talked about John Saxon, but since that was moved to Eastwood news, I've repeated what I mentioned about Philbin)

Chadwick Boseman's death really hit me last night. I remember really liking him in 42 and Draft Day several years back, and of course he was wonderful as Black Panther.

The other day I heard that Joe Ruby, one of the creator's of Scooby-Doo, died at the age of 87. I liked Scooby as a kid and am still very much a big fan. https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/celebrities/2020/08/28/scooby-doo-co-creator-joe-ruby-dead-87/5654049002/?ocid=uxbndlbing
