#12: Yes, though we could quibble about the meaning of "touch."

But contact is made.

???

Let's just say that Harry touches the object, and the object touches someone who is not Harry.

Actually, that should just about give it away, I would think. ;)

This may sound a bit random but I'm having one of my world famous "Hunches".

Is IT the hotdog?

#13: No.

I would say two people touch the hotdog (Mr. Jaffe and Harry), and no quibbling.

Now, who besides Harry touches or is touched by his badge? ???

#14: No.

It may or may not help to tell you guys that I was inspired by watching the first episode of the BBC America series Copper. This is an American series so I don't know if it's even showing outside the U.S. It's about a Dirty Harry-like Civil War era detective in New York City. (At least I thought I recognized a kinship with Dirty Harry.)

Think back to my last clue:

Quote
Let's just say that Harry touches the object, and the object touches someone who is not Harry.

Also, the object is seen and commented on by one other person.

Go for it SK.  I am having a total shut down here, as far as the movie is concerned.  :(

Is it Harry's flick knife?

Bingo!

(Or "switchblade," as we call it.)

I thought of it because at one point the hero of Copper pulls out a set of brass knuckles and uses it to convince some bad guys to talk ... I'm sure his boss  would also have said, "You know, it's disgusting that a police officer should know how to use a weapon like that!" :D

It took you fourteen questions (or fourteen and a half), but you did get it! So have some peanuts ...

Ha! What a fluke. It's the only small thing I could think of. Lucky it was that otherwise we could have been here for another few hours.

Thanks for the game Ladies and see you for the next game on the 24th of September. :)

And thanks for the peanuts. Dig in, Lin. :D

Thank you KC.

Well done SK.

I just couldn't think of the knife.  Gee I think it is time I watched Dirty Harry again.  :)

Thank you for the game.  We will meet here again in 4 weeks. September 24th after SK has seen his movies on the big screen.  Yeah! 3 weeks to sleep in.   ;D

If we're all going to be on the board looking to play trivia after midnight, one of these days we need to resurrect this old thread.

But maybe it needs to wait until after the Eastwood Challenge, or we keep it to movies that were released prior to the current movie we're up to in the Challenge, because for me, watching some of these again is almost like watching them for the first time -- I'd forgotten so much.
