As a former member of the brass section (not woodwinds which Saxophone falls under), it is the trumpet.  And what AKA may not know is that KC is an accomplished trumpeter!

I don't know about "accomplished" ... but Matt is correct! :D

I was so pleasantly surprised to see that scene start off with a woman playing the trumpet. It was a rare thing way back in my day and I don't think it's too common even in our enlightened era!

AKA, if Charlie Parker played the trumpet, that is news to me. His friend Dizzy Gillespie was a great jazz trumpeter, though.

All four years I was in HS Band, we never had a female trumpeter. 

Great game. I didn't think we were going to get it... but that hint really helped!  :)
