Instead of drawing out the process of nominating a film, voting for a film and then choosing a day. From April 2010, we're just going to post a poll with three films and find a date which suits most people.

This thread is for everyone to post a list 8-10 films you'd like to see this year, during our movie nights. Each month, three will be chosen to vote on. The films can be one's that we've already seen on movie nights or even Clint only directed films. I don't think we've ever had one of those movie nights, so that would be interesting sometime.

As of 10/30/2011. This is the Master list.

Play Misty For Me (1)

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (1)

Letters from Iwo Jima (1)

Who choses the three for each month?

So the top 8 to 10 out of the total list everyone choses or the total list?

No worries.

The two films that missed out are on the poll followed by another film as we go down the list by most popular.

Cheers mate, that's what i thought. Just double checking.

That should smooth the process up. 8)

I have made my list up from movies that I don't think we have watched on movie nights. (did check with the list SK put up)  There are movies I would like to see again but I think we should look at ones that we have not seen as a movie night group first.  We may discover a movie we really like that perhaps has only been viewed once.  Sometimes watching with the CEWB folk you can see more into a movie than just watching it on your own.   Just my opinion!

I don't have a list per se, but maybe I can vote for one film to get it on the master list?

How about a few of the "director only" films? Maybe Bird is too long, but ...

  • Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
  • Mystic River
  • Letters from Iwo Jima

EDIT: I may as well add a few more and make this a proper list. I've already contributed Kelly's Heroes, so ...

  • White Hunter, Black Heart
  • Bronco Billy
  • A Perfect World
  • Absolute Power

That's eight from me ... Like Lin, I've tried to list just films we haven't already done for Movie Night.
