Instead of posting this list each month or when someone else posts their list of favorites, I've now put the master list into the very first post of this thread and will edit that post each month.

What happens in the 2nd month?

The two films that missed out are on the poll followed by another film as we go down the list by most popular.

Actually, if more members post their favorites and a film has more votes than the two that missed out in the poll, that film will jump ahead.

This seems to be going well.

I was thinking since we've been doing it for 4 months now, does anyone think we should revise our lists and replace the films that we've seen in the last four months or leave the lists as they are?

It would mean the top three films in the first post at the moment, may change.

In Jan it would be one year on from when we watched GBU. I think it would be great if we saw AFOD in Jan, since we saw FAFDM in August. Thoughts?

If all goes to plan and we do have a movie night in December. The poll in January will have Fistful Of Dollars on it and I could be swayed to vote that way. :)

We are down to the final three films on our Master list. I was thinking that after our November Movie night, we take a break in December and start again in January when I'll ask everyone to post 8-10 of their favorite Eastwood films they'd like to see on our monthly movie night.

Sound OK?

  • Unforgiven
  • The Gauntlet
  • High Plains Drifter
(Because I'm especially fond of them ... and I missed High Plains Drifter the last time around)

  • Flags of Our Fathers
  • Hereafter
(Newer films that haven't yet had a Movie Night)

  • The Dead Pool
  • Sudden Impact
  • Two Mules for Sister Sara
(Can't believe we've never done two of the Dirty Harrys and a Western!  :o )

And for SK's special benefit ...
  • Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil

    (Edited, after SK's post following)

I missed Sudden Impact when I was doing my list. I updated it and removed Letters From Iwo Jima since that will be our January movie night after we postponed it last month.
