Look in the middle of the crowd in the stands at the 1:57:13 mark in the film.  Clint is wearing sunglasses and a green t shirt.

Apologies, I do not have screen shot capabilities or if this has been brought up already.

I don't have the DVD yet, can anyone confirm this? And I think it was brought up somewhere, but I don't know where.

I moved this to Questions & Answers, even though harryheath442 isn't asking it as a question, because I'd like to see a screen cap. I don't think Clint has done a cameo in any of his director-only films since Breezy, though it's certainly possible that he did.

Palooka might know if Clint was in a crowd scene.   I don't get the DVD until after June 17th release date here.

I remember seeing "him" when I first saw the movie.

I don't think it is Clint..

I personally don't think it is Clint's style to be involved with a shot like that either, also I'm sure if he had done it, there would have been publicity and promotion around it - "see if you can spot Clint in the crowd"

What does anyone else think?

KC, please feel free to modify. I left it quite large for better reference

Although there is a likeness IMO it isn't Clint.

I can see why someone might think that was Eastwood if they caught a quick glimpse of him while watching the movie.

Here's a pic of Clint Eastwood and Francois Pienaar in Invictus. They look like the same sunglasses.

I'm not convinced it's isn't Clint. The guy in the screen cap is very tall, looks around same age. How many older blokes have that much muscle definition in their arms. Hair is a similar length as well.

Hmmm.

When I see that picture, my first thought is, "What ever possessed Clint to cast Matt Damon as Pienaar?" ;D

Well the sunglasses are a match, still not sure of the man though?

I agree with you.  Pienaar is tall and totally different too Matt.  I have seen both of them and I really don't see anything that would make anyone select Matt to play Pienaar.    François was at the UK premier of Invictus and he stood tall with Clint.  Matt is so small against him.

Watching The Eastwood Factor on TCM now ... they point out that most of the crowd in the stadium scenes was added digitally. So maybe it's a digital cameo. ;)

Doesn't look like Clint but... he's in the very middle of the shot. ::)

Someone has a good eye. Whether that's Clint or not, I'll never see this scene again without picking out the Clint Lookalike and wondering.

Here's some screencaps, and at the bottom is the picture that Southern Cat linked to above. I just wanted to see the pictures side by side...

That guy is also a Charlton Heston lookalike, IMO.

I agree with Palooka that it doesn't seem Clint's style to put himself in a film in this way, but I can't prove it's not him either. I can't get a good enough screencap of him to compare facial lines and teeth... all I know is, he's pretty similar, though I think Clint's hair looks a little more silver/gray and less blonde/gray like the guy in the crowd.

The more I look at it... the more I think it's Clint! And is it me, or does he look superimposed and facing the wrong way from everyone else?

Am I starting to see things?  :idiot2:
