I'm glad Rowan is okay too! And the second time he's crashed it--he might want to take it easy in that car! :o

" Man Claims to Have Caught a Fairy That Looks Suspiciously Like a Tinkerbell Figurine "

I was picking guavas and I saw a twinkling. I thought it was a firefly. I picked it up and felt that it was moving; when I looked at it I knew that it was a fairy godmother.

What was this antelope doing there? For millions of years mountain-bikers were living peacefully in Africa…who the heck imported over there those antelopes!

So I read in yesterday's paper that Eddie Murphy had pulled out of hosting the Oscars next year and I thought to myself, stop mucking around and lets get Billy Crystal back. Lo and behold, I just saw this at imdb. 8)

I saw that chopper crash on TV this evening. He was so lucky not to have been killed. It was fortunate that no one was hurt on the ground too.

Yeah the three construction workers didn't muck around when the chopper crashed. I've never seen three guys move so fast before!

Astronomers have confirmed the existence of an Earth-like world orbiting a star like our Sun in its "habitable zone".  :o

The planet, Kepler 22-b, lies about 600 light-years away and is about 2.4 times the size of Earth, and has a temperature of about 22C.

Quote
NASA’s Kepler space telescope has confirmed the discovery of the first so-called super-Earth planet ever found orbiting a Sun-like star from a habitable distance.

NASA says the mysterious new super-Earth is 2.4 times the size of the Earth and has comfortable 22-degree Celsius surface temperatures. The planet’s year - the time it takes to make a single solar orbit - is 290 days, which scientists say is comparable to our 365-day year.   The star the planet circles is slightly smaller and slightly cooler than our Sun.

A star's habitable zone is the region where it is possible for liquid water to exist on the surface of a planet orbiting there.  Liquid water is considered essential for life to exist.   Astronomers say it is not clear if the newly discovered super-Earth has a predominantly rocky, gaseous or liquid composition, or even if it has an atmosphere

Thanks, 2M! The picture is of course an "artist's conception."

I don't know ... 600 light years away? That's too far from Midtown! :o
