New book, just been reading about it in Total Film magazine where it received a 4 star review.

This would be a translation of a book that appeared in France a few years ago, a compilation of interviews that originally appeared in Positif, the French film magazine.

Wilson, or Michael Henry as his name appears in Positif, has come to be just about Clint's favorite interviewer over the last couple of decades. I tried but failed to get hold of the French edition last year (it seems to be out of print). I wonder if Wilson went back to the original English versions, or if the work is back-translated from the French versions as published?

Apparently Eastwood on Eastwood (the French edition has the title Eastwood par Eastwood) is not the same book as Wilson's earlier Entretiens avec Clint Eastwood, though both are based on Wilson's thirty years of interviews with Clint.

Quite interesting book,including Eastwood interviews with the author through various stages of his career.
Sort of a commentary upon his films, that could be included in a special edition DVD occasion.
Great illustration also,with a few unseen pics.
