Clarice Taylor has passed away at the age of 93. Eastwood fans remember her for her vivid cameo as Dave Garver's housekeeper Birdie in Play Misty for Me.

But she worked in the "legitimate" theater as well, taking home an Obie in 1987 for Moms, about comedian Moms Mabley, and in television, where she is recalled for her role as "Grandmother Huxtable" on the Cosby Show.

She's great in Play Misty for Me, and I used to watch The Cosby Show all the time.
