October 9th, 2020 John would have turned 80! I've been listening to Walls & Bridges a lot and I now think it's as much a masterpiece as the album Imagine. I've come to really love this truly beautiful song, "Bless You":

And of course a song I feel is among the very best songs he ever wrote, "#9 Dream." Just close your eyes and really listen to it.

Agreed Doug... I?ve had Walls and Bridges since from around the mid 70?s and I think it?s an amazing album.. and strangely underrated.

Peter Jackson?s Beatles Documentary

So looking forward to seeing this next year.

This was absolutely brilliant. I still have about an hour of part three to watch.

You need to be a huge Beatles fan though to sit through nearly 8 hours of them in the studio and really appreciate it. Others may find it too boring.

I loved it.

I enjoyed seeing this.  It?s a perfect time capsule showing them working together on their second to last project.

The one major downside for me is Yoko Ono.  I can NOT stand her screeching.  The cacophony of nonsensical noise she emits from her mouth is too much to bear.  There is absolutely, positively and unequivocally no musical or entertaining value to it.  I can?t believe it was included at all.

I wonder why Paul singing Besame Mucho was edited out from the original.  That didn?t make sense, either.

Otherwise, seeing and watching The Beatles working on their recordings after having finished The White Album was great.  It was very cool hearing them mention Elvis? birthday, too.
