This is the Movie Night Thread for Magnum Force. We’ll meet up here up to an hour before we start rolling the film on Saturday July 23, 2011.

For anyone who ’would like to join us …have your Magnum Force DVD ready to play that night. Check here to see what time we’ll be starting the film in your area:

In CST (U.S. Central Time Zone) states - 3:00 PM
In EST (U.S. East Coast) states - 4:00 PM
In Sao Paulo, Brasil - 5:00 PM
In Great Britain, Portugal - 9:00 PM
In France, Italy - 10:00 PM
      In Sweden - 10:00PM
      In Finland -  11:00PM
In Sydney and Melbourne, Australia - 6:00 AM, Sunday July 24, 2011.

If you need more time conversions, check here:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

We’ll be starting the movie at the first frame of film, which is the Warner Bros. Logo.

Have your DVD set up here and paused, we’ll all be hitting play on the hour.

We’ll be taking three short breaks during the film (usually around ten minutes). The first break is at the start of Chapter 8. (27:19 on the R-4 DVD)

A helicopter flys over the scene of the pool party shooting, this is right after the motorcycle cop rides away from the scene of the crime.

The second break is at the beginning of chapter 16. (58:08 on the R-4 DVD)

A shot of the skyline as the camera pans across to where DeGeorgio and his partner are on a stakeout across the street from Guzman’s penthouse. This is right after the scene where Harry and Early follow Palencio’s car and Harry asks Palencio’s driver if he knows where San Quentin is.

The third break is at the beginning of chapter 24. (1:25:07 on the R-4 DVD)

This is where Harry is getting medical attention after the shootout at Palancio’s.

Please note that all chapters and times are for Region 4 DVD’s and may not be the same for other regions.

I’m starting this thread early so the event could be added to the calendar – All events must have a thread to link to.

Hoping to see you all here on the night.   8)

Just a couple of reminders:

1) By default, this board gives you a warning message when someone else has posted while you're writing a post.
That can get very frustrating in the heat of things in these threads ... but now the feature can be turned off, temporarily (or permanently if you prefer).

To turn it off, click the link on the brown bar near the top of the page to your profile:
You'll go to your profile page. On the left-hand side, there's a list of stuff you can do here including "Modify profile." Under that heading, click the link to "Look and Layout Preferences."
Now you'll see some choices with little white checkboxes next to them. One of them is "Don't warn on new replies made while posting." Click in that box so there's a check mark there.
Then, in the lower right hand corner, click "Change profile" and you're all set.

I find it also helps to use the keyboard shortcut when posting: alt+s. (Or in the latest version of Firefox, alt+shift+s.)

2) You can also use the "Quick Reply" feature: At the bottom of each thread is a brown bar with "Quick Reply" on the left hand corner.
If you don't have it enabled, that's all you'll see and there will be a plus sign to the left of "Quick Reply." Click the plus sign,
and a reply box will open beneath the brown bar and will stay there until you click the sign (now a minus) next to "Quick Reply" again.
You can type your post right in this box and don't have to wait for a "Reply" page to open. It's a little harder to use smilies, though, unless you remember all the shortcuts!

What are the "informações especiais," Aline? Anything we don't already know? :)

Around a quarter-hour to showtime, ladies and gentlemen. Visit the concession stand now, buy plenty of popcorn and soda, and don't forget a restroom stop if you need one.

I'll be hosting tonight, so you'll all have to be on your best behavior! ;)

They are the same than "Special features", KC. I don't think is something you don't have seen already, just some behind the scenes footage. I love them since I almost don't get to see them in the 70, 80's dvd movies :)
