OK, enough is enough. In 24 hours, I'm going through the member list and anyone with advertising links in their signature is going to be banned. Simple as that. If you're a legitimate Clint Eastwood fan, you know the rule for this forum.

Once again, most of the members to sign up recently aren't legit, with spam in their signatures!  :knuppel2:

In the past month or so there seems to be a new way of spammers posting on this forum. Instead of straight out spamming, they will make a few posts that seem legitimate, but have advertising links either in their post or signatures OR sometimes both.

The moderators have been lenient in the past, asking for the links to be removed, otherwise you face being banned. It's obvious that these spammers are not going to respond so from now, these posts will be deleted immediately and the offenders banned asap.

As it states in the Clint Eastwood Forums Community Standards

Linking to your Home Page vs. Spamming

If you have a personal home page, feel free to include the link in your profile. But remember:  this forum isn't here to drive traffic to your site, and spamming or advertising will be promptly deleted -- and the offender typically banned.

Yes.  I went on a rampage and deleted them.  I have made some changes to see if I can keep them out again.  It appears to be mostly one single "group" that is doing it. :knuppel2:
At least with the ant-spam questions, they are learning some factoids about Clint Eastwood!

What sort of questions are they?

Things like "who did Clint play in Rawhide?"  Obviously Rowdy Yates.
I am open to suggestions if you have a good question that an Eastwood fan would know but  would be difficult for a Filipinean spammer to research.
I made a new change to block certain IP address groups.  That seems to have cut them back again.

I've seen the movie before but didn't remember the character's name.
