Does anyone out there in Clint Eastwood land knw anything about the type, model, make, year, of the helicopter used in "Where Eagles Dare"?
I don't think it's a WWII German chopper but rather a Sikorsky or Bell.
Any info at all is much appreciated,
Thanks,

I looked through all my Eastwood film books and not one of them discusses the helicopter.  There's a very good Where Eagles Dare website, however, it's in the process of a server change, so it's unavailable now.  However, if no one here can answer your question, go to their site's main page (which is still up) HERE and you'll find e-mail links to both of the Where Eagles Dare experts who run the site.  They might know exactly what type of helicopter that was.
