Why are all the apostrophes coming out with slashes in front of them?

This is a bit annoying.

Don't won't can't it's I'm...

And now they are not!!!

Are people doing it on purpose?  eg:

So I did rent Bloodwork, and enjoyed it very much. I don't want to go into what I liked, didn't like, etc. too much in light of potential future film discussions.

I can't see the slashes now, KC, but they were there earlier -  or I'm going mad.  :-[

Christopher, it's funny you should say that...  ;D

Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

What pages did you see slashes on? It's possible that a bug still exists. Soon, I will be making somes upgrades to the code and maybe that will solve some issues.

It was all of them, Cal - including the home page!

Haven't seen any today at all.  Might have been a local thing since nobody else noticed.

Or it could have been my eyes!  :)

Daisy, I saw them in a quote in a post you made yesterday, but not anywhere else. Weird ...  ???

And I saw one in a post of Matt's ...  :o I clicked the "Modify" button to see what it looked like "inside" ... it looked normal. Then, when I came back to the page, the slash was gone ...  ???

They were only there for a couple of minutes.  Like Daisy said, it was every single apostrophe, even the ones on the "front page" of the board in the subject titles.  Every single word in every post that had an apostrophe had that slash in front of it, but then... they were all gone again.

One thing I've noticed is that somtimes the titles for the forums will flash. It will be the colour it is now (using Dark as my 'board flavour') and then it flash the colour yellow like when you go and click on it, the highlighted colour yellow.

It also does it with the moderator names. It doesnt do it all the time, just sometimes.

Well, this is starting to freak me out (maybe it's from all those horror movies I've been watching here recently). :D

Though, I haven't seen any slashes yet. But I'll be on the look out. ;)

I just noticed that on the main board, down by the 'Off Topic Discussion' forum, where it has the last post listed, it had:

Quote

in Re:Eastwood Fans John Carpenter Thread&#...
by Hemlock

The emphasis was added by me. Those &# symbols arent in the actual heading.

Yeah, it just did that with my response. I've noticed that with a few others as well.

The slashes appeared on one refresh during a "15 questions" game, but were gone with the next refresh. At the time I just chalked it up to a random glitch, then I saw this thread...  :-\

I was experiencing some other glitches during that same game ... at one point I saw the code, rather than the image, for one of the smilies from the board here (and I don't mean the shortcuts we can type in, but the full URL).  :o

When I hit "Refresh," all was OK again.  ???
