I'm a French student majoring in English, from June and for a whole year I'll have to do a study on a subject. I'd like to study Clint Eastwood and 10 of his main westerns. I need help finding a good subject.

I thought I would study :
"The evolution of Clint Eastwood's roles in 10 westerns he played in." :
A Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Hang 'em High
Two Mules for Sister Sara
Joe Kidd
High Plains Drifter
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Pale Rider
Unforgiven

Do you think it is a good subject ? Do you have other suggestions ?
I need to find a subject for early june so if you could all advise me it would really help !
Thanks in advance !

It's an excellent subject. Clint only starred in ten Westerns, and you've listed them all. Since you've got a whole year to do the work, I think you'll really have time to go into the material in depth. You can compare and contrast Eastwood's work with Sergio Leone, with Don Siegel and other directors, and with himself as director. You could also explore the evolution of the Western hero in general, and examine how Eastwood's Westerners do, or do not, conform to your findings.

Good luck and keep us posted about your progress.  8)

KC pretty much covered the subject, but just a little adding here; maybe you could also talk about the impact of the Leone westerns on other films. And compare his Clints american westerns to his Italian westersn

It's great that you have a whole year, and you chose the most interesting subject you could find. The more youll find out about him, the more youll want to say.

wishing you the best of luck! ;D
