I am a big country music fan and recently reacquainted myself with an album tune that Clint did with Randy Travis around 1990 called "Smokin' the Hive."   It was on Randy's album, "Heroes and Friends"  I remember it from back then, but hadn't thought about it in a long time.  That got me to thinking about some other country songs Clint participated in.  He actually had a #1 with Merle Haggard around 1980 called Bar Room Buddies.  Does anyone else like these tunes?

I assume these songs must have been discussed here before.

I'm not a big country music fan, but I do enjoy these songs. "Smokin' the Hive" and others have long been available on this site (the main site, not the Web Board) as Real Audio files:

A friend of mine mentioned he had a CD of an album Clint made. Not sure what songs were on it or if it was just from his films though.

Could be.  Here's a couple from the album.  I like country music, and I must say, I've heard worse.  I know Clint seemed to like country music.  I read somewhere that Randy Travis said Clint knew more about music than he did.
