Has anyone else heard of this movie? My interest in it grows and grows almost everyday. The first teaser trailer, while showing nothing, was great and the second was nice but the third is amazing! Check it out here (http://bvbp-qt.vitalstream.com/HitchhikersGuide/HG2TG_InternetTrailer_2237_3000.mov) (It's a big file! 52 MB but it's in glorious Quicktime!)

I've also been reading stuff about it on the net and mostly everyone is praising it already for "perfect casting" for all the parts. And this is coming from people who have read and loved the book. Even some of my friends have said the casting is perfect and all the shots they've seen of the film have been excellent.

So has anyone else read the book and is anyone interested in this film?

I've read the book a couple of times and watched the BBC series countless times . Both are brilliant  .
I'll go and see the movie in the hope that it's anywhere near as good .

When watching the previews, I thought it was kinda like the War of the Worlds instead in the aliens perspective, then I saw humans with robots! What's going on  :D

Hitchhiker has a cult following in the UK.  Not so long ago it was repeated in serial form on BBC4 at 6.30pm with the original radio recording.  I have read the book, the first time I was a bit lost but since listening to it I have read it again and think it is fantastic.

I suggest you pick up the compilation book The Ultimate Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy  by Douglass Adams.  It's all six books.  Great reading if you enjoy a good laugh.

We actually own that and I have it on my shelf of books to read... which tends to grow bigger and bigger with each passing month. The book pile not the Hitchiuker book.
