Title: Halloween 2005
Post by: GBU on October 28, 2005, 10:58:02 PM
Its that time of year again. What will you do? Scare the kids? Party? Stay at home with your favorite horror films? As for me, I getting a few friends and watching "John Carpenter's The Thing".

Also this will be the place to show off you pumpkin carvings.

This one took me over 3 hours.

I'll stay at home and watch my favorite horror films -Night Of The Living Dead, Halloween ... alone  :-\

Doesn't matter, I'm sure it will be fun (http://www.discodelic.netfirms.com/scared-hairraising2.gif)

I asked a few friends, but they don't like horror movies ... too scary and bloody  ::)

Well aside for having a blast at work this weekend (Rocky Horror Picture Show baby!), I'll most likely get screwed into handing out the candy to the little buggers.  :(

I remember last year I was watching TV while handing out the candy and everytime they knocked on the door I'd get up. But I guess either this person didn't knock or I didn't hear it because I was sitting for quite awhile before I decided to get up and see why no one was coming. When I went and looked out the door there was this little girl standing dressed as a bunny with a sad face.  ;D I shouldn't laugh but I just didn't want to think of how long she was standing there for. I gave her extra candy though.

Awww Brendan your nice!!

Halloween is Samhain and that leads to a whole different set of celebrations. (http://www.discodelic.netfirms.com/people-witch4.gif)

Edited for a spelling mistake.

Dress up the dog in her Harley Davison jacket and biker hat (Slacker, are you still with us to get on my case? (http://home.swfla.rr.com/mattreigns/lol.gif))

The kids are going out as a ghoul, Batgirl, and Batman. I'll probably dress as Jason Giambi to go around with them again this year. Too bad that the German  For a Few Dollars More Special Edition box set didn't have the musical pocketwatch watch. I could have been Ramon.  :)

Our neighborhood has already had their Halloween party, and we did our pumpkin carving there. Now it's just time to collect treats and eat lots of candy.

Those two kids rock. The other... well... he/she is alright. 8)

 O0 What a great pumkin GBU ! O0

To decorate my front door, I always put the Yoda mask on it, a kind of talisman ! And a pumpkin near the door.
Here in France, there had been a great interest for Halloween celebration a few years ago, but a lot of French people don't like to be under American or English  influence ( :D : in fact I don't joke !), so, it depends on where you live ! For me it's a nice feast !
Here in my village, pumpkin carving is a must, and  we decorate house with garlands and candles, children are all ghosts or witches or monsters, but adults no !
With children (3 mine and all the others I look after), we prepare pancakes or funny cakes, we drink(soft drinks !) and eat sweets, and make a small party. But it's really more considered as a children feast than in USA or other countries.
How is Halloween in other European Countries ?

Batgirl is older than Batman, and thinks she's in charge. They've been dressing up, practicing their roles, and Batgirl is always telling Batman what to do. I had to tell her, "You're the sidekick!" (Anyone seen Sky High?)  She gets a laugh out of being the sidekick--hasn't changed her from bossing him around though. (http://home.swfla.rr.com/mattreigns/boardgrin.gif)

I thought Robin was the sidekick! Batgirl SHOULD push Batman around ... girls are superior.  (http://users.erols.com/kcoblenz/instantrazz.gif)  (http://users.erols.com/kcoblenz/instantwink.gif)

Wimps. ;)

I just watched Land of the Dead. I think I'll go watch Halloween now. Seems to fit the occasion.

And yes, this is the extent of my Halloween "celebration."

Last night my friends and I threw a party.  Woo.

Tomorrow night I'm going to Knott's Scary Farm, tons of fun there.  Haha.

And then on Monday apparently I'm driving to Disneyland to meet my parents up there for a get together with them... Don't know if that'll be happening though, I think I might invite some friends over and watch some scary movies...   :D
