Consider that if you do decide to collect every issue of The Classic Clint Eastwood Collection, it will be a significant outlay as there are 44 issues in total. :)

Can you buy the magazine without the DVD? Since I'd imagine a lot of people such as SK already own those movies.

I don't think so. And another copy of an Eastwood film on the shelf won't hurt. (This will make it three for Dirty Harry)

I have seen these type of collections in second hand book stores long after they've been released with just the magazines, but I've waited this long, so getting another copy of the film doesn't bother me.

I had figured it might make it cheaper if the magazine could be bought without the DVD. Plus they could possibly even sell more magazines like that. Though it does make sense to have the DVD with it.

Three versions of Dirty Harry?! :o :D ;D

Issue 3 will be Magnum Force

It is likely that the magazines will be sold on eBay separately like with the UK release as some people only buy the collection to get the DVD and then sell off the magazine later.  I have seen the UK version of the magazine sell for $1 per issue on Crap Bay.

I was wondering the same thing...

But yeah I guess they'll turn up on eBay eventually  ;)

I wish we had the possibility to buy them separately without having to subscribe -even though it kinda defeats the point of collecting all of them. I would have purchased a couple. Knowing that I have to subscribe, I probably won't. Not via the official site anyway...

I bought the first three issues from the newsagent, before going online two weeks ago to order the rest of the set.

I'm supposed to get issue 4 with 5 for free first up.

Anyone know how long I have to wait?

Hi,  The Schofield Kid, I am a new member called TWOMULES from England.  It's great to see you have started getting the DeAgostini magazine and DVD/ The Classic Clint Eastwood Collection. My wife got me every issue in the UK,a total of 50 issues plus two special editions. Most of the films I had on Vhs but what I enjoyed about this collection was the fact that it included most of Clint's early bit part roles. The Revenge of the Creature,Tarantula,Francis in the navy,Lady Godiva,Star in the Dust and Never Say Goodbye are all part of the uk collection. The 2 Special Editions are The Man From Malpaso and Piano Blues. The magazines are also a joy to read and give you some great information on each film. The uk collection started with Dirty Harry and ended with the film Never Say Goodbye.     take care     TWOMULES

Hey 2Mules, welcome to the board. :)

Yeah, I'm enjoying the collection. I hope it is released as it was in the UK, with all the bit part films from the 1950's.

Cheers. SK. 8)

I got a nice surprise in the mail yesterday.

Late last year I didn't recieve my free gift of the Music from Eastwood Movies CD with one of the deliveries. Apparently there was an issue with a delay from the UK. While I was on holidays in March I still had not heard anything so I sent an email asking what was latest regarding this and I got a reply that they were still waiting for them to be shipped.

Yesterday with my two latest DVD's and magazines, I recieved a seperate parcel. It was in a bigger box for just a CD and was quite surprised when I opened it up and it was a portable DVD player. It was a replacement gift as the CD couldn't be shipped.

I think if I had the choice between the two, I would've taken the DVD player. It'll come in handy on movie nights, so I don't have to jump between the board and the film on the PC.

Nice of them to replace it with something really nice! That's probably what I would need if I was ever going to join in with the movie nights!

I can understand the last six films not being included but I wonder why, Paint Your Wagon, Breezy, Escape From Alcatraz & Bird weren't included?

Paint Your Wagon and  Escape From Alcatraz was something to do with Paramount but I don't know why Breezy and Bird, were left out. ???

Issue 42, Coogan's Bluff arrived today.

It is the last issue.  :'(

The third collector box for the DVD's is only half full, or is it half empty? Either way I'm disappointed it's finished.  :(

SK, I'm Sorry the collection didn't include any of Clint's early bit part roles. :(

Each box holds 17 DVD's. The first two are full but the third box only has 8 DVD's in it.

I think it's great a lot of Eastwood's early appearances are available in this set.  Pity they're not yet available elsewhere.  Still, I think it's comical that his early films, especially his uncredited appearances have made their way into "The Classic Clint Eastwood Collection".  If I were still a competist, I'd love to have them all regardless of my opinion on how the studios package these films.  To be honest, without Eastwood's name attached to most of these, and the fact that they're included in a set with a lot of his more well known films, they probably wouldn't sell very well.
