I thought this would be pretty fun. So, here's an easy one to start:
Q: "God isn't on our side, because he hates idiots, also."
-
Hi, Bountykiller, what's the object? To name the movie? The situation? The speaker of the line? The previous or next line of dialogue? (The one you quoted isn't exactly a question.)
At any rate ... sounds like a fun game for our "Trivia Games" forum. Hope you don't mind if I move it there?
-
It's very simple: I give a quote, and the other person has to say who said it, to who and which movie.
Example:
Q: "I thought I was having problems with my addie."
A: Manco to Mortimer, FAFDM.
Alright, a simple one to begin:
Q: "But, there's no name on it."
-
A: Tuco to Blondy, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly! 8)
Your original quote was Blondy to Tuco in the same movie ... ;)
How about "I don't find you men all that appealin'"? ;D
-
:D A: Joe to Esteban.
Q: "You don't like peace?"
-
A: Ramon to Joe in FFD...
I think the exact line is "admire peace?" is it not? :)
Just for fun I will post up Joes responce:
"It's hard to admire something you know nothing about."
Let's see, how about:
"Here's where I keep the best ones..."
-
A: The gun shop owner to Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Q.: "He's tall, isn't he!" ;)
-
Wife of the hotel owner in FFDM.
Her to him...
Next one:
That's not bad...
-
Mortimer to Manco FAFDM
You're just Dirty!
-Stranger-
-
Stranger, that's the hotel owner's answer to his wife's "He's tall, isn't he!" in For a Few Dollars More.
Q. "It's for you." ;)
-
Blondy to Tuco GBU
".....Your Life"
-Stranger-
-
Manco to Red in FFDM.
"A couple of steps back..."
-
Man with no name to BB at card table. in FFDM
I did get off , thanks
Philo .
-
Man with no name to several men in GBU
Slightly too late on Stranger's
Carry on .
Philo .
-
Mortimer to the train connoisseur after pulling the emergency cord to stop the train at Tuccancarri in FFDM...
"In ten minutes you'll be smoking in hell..."
-
Hunchback to Mortimer FAFDM.
Why'd you do this for us?
-Stranger-
-
Why'd you do this for us?
-Stranger-
Marisol to Joe in FFD? Is that right Stranger?

'Cause I knew someone like you once...
-
;) Yes you are D'amb, it's all yours.
-Stranger-
-
You smell like a pig already, let's try and not make it any worse...
-
Sgt Wallace to Tuco ... in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!
-
Whoops, that's right KC. Your Up....
------------------
"I told you once my friend, if I ever get you down..."
-
I got the answer to the last one from D'Ambrosia,
it is from Tuco to Sgt Wallace in GBU.
How bout this one?
'What did he say to you?'
-
??? Actually, Red, I already answered that one correctly ... it's not from Tuco to Sgt. Wallace, it's from Sgt. Wallace to Tuco. And Damb was just waiting for me to post another one ... but let's go with yours, anyway! ;)
-
How about a hint LetRedGo ! 8)
-
:-[
Forgot I had posted last....
Hint is GBU
Damn, that was great to see it in the theater for the first time. You could almost smell Tuco ;)
-
LetRedGo, do you mean ...
(Tuco to Blondy) What did he tell you?
It's in the desert scene, when Jackson alias "Bill Carson" dies and Tuco finds out that he revealed his secret to Blondy first.
Is that the one? ???
-
ayayayayaya
(insert twangy guitar here)
:)
yep, that is it.
-
I got it! 8)
New one:
You sell lead in exchange for gold.
-
A: The Crazy Bell Ringer to Joe in A Fistful Of Dollars.
Q: "Rum, double."
-
I generaly smoke just after I eat. Why don't you come back in ten minutes!
A Few dollars More. In tavern at Agua Caleiente.
They don't like strangers here. They don't like anybody!
-
Answer to "let red go"
After Mango beats up red and his three goons from the barber shop come in to save the boss. One says "let red go"
-
That's correct, woodenhead ... the line was spoken to Manco by one of Red's men in For a Few Dollars More ... though I think "Let Red Go" was the username of one of the players of this game. ;) But, no one has been playing here for quite a while so it's nice of you to move the game along!
The way these games work ... when you answer one correctly, you post a new one. So, have you got a line from one of the "Man with No Name" films that you want the rest of us to try to identify?
-
here goes one:
My roulette wheel, that to was murdered?
-
That's from A Fistful of Dollars ... Silvanito says it to "Joe," the Man with No Name, in one of the opening scenes, as he's describing the town of San Miguel to his visitor.
How about ... "It's good to see old friends again!" 8)
-
Come on in Tuco, there's no formalities here. Your hungary, sit down, eat. I knew, I knew it. The first time I saw you I said to myself, "look at that pig Angel Eyes" I'll bet he got himself an easy job, and he never forgets a friend. "It's good to see old friends again.
Angel eyes to Tuco in FAFDM
-
Question:
And so Blondie, It's goodbye!
-
Hi everyone, I am Sovinito, formally Woodenhead that is up until March of last year (2004) I was off line for several months and have since changed my e mail address.
I am happy to be back here and look forward to my favorite actors web site, especially the trivia game.
So, go ahead and make my day !
Charles D :)
-
"Just like cowboys and indians"
What movie was this said ?
Charles D ???
-
It was said in A Fistful of Dollars by Sovinito when him and Joe ride up to witness the massacre.
-
Silvanito? ???
-
Yeah that's right, sorry I spelt it wrong. ::)
-
Okay so since D'Amb messaged me, per his request, I'll post another quote.
"Five hundred dollars."
It's only 4 and 1/2 years later. Ha.
-
Five hundred dollars... to get the name.
Angel Eyes in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly?
-
While that was probably said in GBU, that wasn't the one I was thinking of.
-
Wasn't it a figure in the bargaining process in A Fistful of Dollars for information?
-
Yes it's in a Fistful of Dollars, however not in the beginning.
-
On behalf of Chessie's birthday I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you are correct Cat!
"Why are you doing this?"
"Five hundred dollars...."
Got a new one for us SC?
-
Ok Damb :)
I love this line.
I did get off. Thanks
-
Col. Mortimer to the train conductor when he gets off the train at Tucumcari in FAFDM.
-
That's it Liz O0
-
Well, look who's here.
-
Is that Tuco just before he says, "One Bastard goes in, another bastard comes out?
-
Right movie, wrong person and scene.
-
Was it when Angel Eyes spots Blondie and Tuco in the prision camp?
-
Angel Eyes says it, but not in the prison camp. I'm sure he thought it there, though.
-
Is it just after Tuco has a bath and Blondie joins back up with him? Then Angel eyes spots them in town.
-
Is it just after Tuco has a bath and Blondie joins back up with him? Then Angel eyes spots them in town.
Yes, although to be completely accurate, Angel Eyes only spots Tuco. It is then stated that Blondie won't be far away.
Go ahead SC, it's all yours. :)
-
Got a new one SC?
-
Oh I forgot.
Married?
-
Bump!
-
Oh I forgot.
Married?
Yes, but she doesn't care!
For a Few Dollars More ... Manco asks the boy about the landlady in the spot he's shilling for.
-
You know the town is a small one when a young boy dishes out that sort of information. :o
-
OK, next:
It's obvious you don't know anything.
-
First I thought it was Clint to Lee Van but it's from the old man who I love, character wise.
No need to be insulting.
FAFDM
-
That is correct, SC!
-
Next:
If you are thinking what I suspect, I tell you, don't try it.
-
If you are thinking what I suspect, I tell you, don't try it.
Which one of the two is the stronger?
AFOD
Conversation between Joe and Silvanito when Joe discovers that there are two bosses in the town.
-
Well done Shirts. O0
-
Thanks, Stormy. :)
Next:
Alive or dead, it's your choice.
-
In For a Few Dollars More the half bearded man stands at the doorway and says.
Let Red go!
-
I went back a few pages in this thread, and the original idea was to name the film, the speaker of the line and the situation, not to quote the next line of dialogue, like in the "What Line Next" game. So we need to say who the speaker of "Alive or dead, it's your choice" was, and who he was speaking to, and I suppose for the record also the film ... rather than give the next spoken line, which in this case comes from someone not previously involved in the scene!

KC's right, SC. Go ahead and tell me who, to whom, and which since you obviously know. Then post a new one. :)
-
Monco says it to Red as he has him bailed up at the bar just after he beat him at cards. What a great scene too. :)
Back with a new one soon.

Oh sorry, I had a KC moment. :P
Why are you doing this for us?
-
Marisol to Joe after he's freed her from the Rojos' gang in Fistful of Dollars.
-
Spot on Shirts. :)
-
Now that my work's all done . . .
Next:
Good day, sir. Good afternoon.
-
The bank manger at Tucumcari to Mortimer. Mortimer wants to know the most secure bank in the territory.
-
It's all yours, SC. :)
-
Thanks Liz. :)
But you forget one small detail
-
Col. Mortimer: Well, I don't believe we ought to start another fight. But you forget one small detail.
Manco: What's that?
Col. Mortimer: I want to get my hands on Indio, too.
Col. Mortimer to Manco in the hotel room following the hat shooting incident. :)
-
Back to you tennis partner. :)
-
Thanks, SC. I'll post one as soon as I get home from the Windy City.
-
Next:
Who said I was jokin'
-
I'm sure it's from A Few Dollars More but who he says it to I'm not 100%. I think it's said to Blackie just before Monco kills him.
-
You're probably right, but I'm not even sure of the character's name in the scene. (This is embarrassing.) Can you please give me an idea of the scene you're thinking of?
-
It's in the scene where Manco goes off with Blackie, Chico and Paco from Indio's gang to rob the bank at Santa Cruz ... as a diversion from the big job at Santa Fe. The night before, Manco had "joked" about how the bounty on the gang was so big, he just might turn them in to the law. As they break camp on the way to Santa Cruz, one of the three (I'm not sure which, either) says he had almost fallen for Manco's "joke." It's about the last thing he ever says.

Yeah that's it, where Manco thought he's "tag along" with them on their next bank robbery the night before.
-
Well, you got it first, amigo. So, post the next one. ;)
-
Siguiente
Kind of curious to meet him.
-
That's Joe to Silvanito, about Ramón Rojo ... the man everyone talks about.

That's it. ;)

Come on, come on, the party's over.

I think I remember Tuco saying this line but I can't place the scene. :-\
-
Your memory is doing just fine so far. Tuco is very anxious to move on from his present location.
-
Is it in the Monastery where Tuco's brother works. Tuco to Blondie?
-

Sweet. :)
We'll fix that right away.
