Thanks Winchester! I think I read it in Ripley's too.  But also elsewhere, where they said he had to take allergy meds before he went near a horse.  Must have been tough doing Rawhide all those years! Ha! Poor Clint!  ~ Donna Madison

Forgot  to say: I'd love to see a remake of The Cincinnatti Kid,  the Steve McQueen picture.  It was a very fine movie....and Clint could play the man who beats Kid in the famous poker game at the end.  He'd be amazing.  !!!!  Also the Frank Sinatra role in Man with The Golden Arm. It would be very interesting to see Clint play someone with a substance abuse problem.

HI! I think Clint could play and should! play a James Bond role....James is getting older, and better, right??  Clint is suave, handsome, in shape, and clean cut enough to play Bond but also that squint is still tough enough to scare the opposition!!  ...For more serious roles, anything Brando or DeNiro played, Clint could play equally as well.  He rocks!!! - Donna Madison

General Discussion / Jay Leno/Rawhide song
« on: April 02, 2005, 05:01:59 PM »
:)Hi all - I read with great interest in a magazine that
Jay Leno is such a great Eastwood fan (no greater than me, I bet!!) heard Clint sing "Rawhide", then found a recording of it and sent it to him.  It was worth $500, apparently.  First of all: where/when did Clint sing Rawhide?? Was it on Leno?  Will this ever be repeated, and/or did anyone see this?? I wish I had heard it!! I love the tune, and would love to own it, either by its original singer, Frankie Laine or ESPECIALLY Clint.  !! If anyone has this information, please help.  Thanks kindly.  ~Donna Madison

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re: another great quote...
« on: March 27, 2005, 11:09:28 AM »
Well everyone Happy Easter! We watched hours and hours of Clint last night and it was a pure pleasure, as always.  I realize I am aging...Frances Fisher looked sooooo young to me in Unforgiven.  !!!  I think they should have a night on starz. where they show the lesser known Clints: Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, Coogan's Bluff, The Beguiled,  etc.  Maybe the will.  And Two Mules for SIster Sara!! ~ Donna Madison

Answer to why we love Bridges....because all us girls make believe we are Meryl Streep taking a bath with Clint!!! Seriously, it's a wonderful, great, romantic film with superb acting...and Clint looked drop-dead handsome to boot. !!  ~ Donna Madison

Hi ~ in rethinking this poll, I have changed my top five:

1. Clint Eastwood, because he is my favorite man/movie star in the world and has spanned two centuries now!

2.  James Garner - because I love him, too!

3. John Garfield - long dead but still great

4.  Christopher Walken - quirky but I love him

5. Robert DeNiro

Hi - I seriously think Clint Eastwood should come RIGHT AFTER Cary Grant.  I can't believe they would put John Wayne or Katharine Hepburn or Julia Roberts so far ahead of Clint.   Wayne and Hepburn had very minimal range as actors.  Julia is great but over-rated.  Clint is the American ICON of the 20th century and into the 21st.  After Cary, Clint is #2!!!!!  ~ Donna Madison
