Off-Topic Discussion / Baby on the way!
« on: May 17, 2017, 12:32:40 AM »
Thought I'd come here and tell you that we're having a BABY!  :smitten:

I'm so scared and happy at the same time. This is an IVF baby, but everything with the procedure went surprisingly easy.

I've been super tired and have been away from the board (just reading your posts), but hopefully I will cheer up soon now that 3 months is almost up.

So there's without a doubt another Eastwood generation growing in my belly..  ^-^

Off-Topic Discussion / A Dream Come True..
« on: June 02, 2010, 09:10:36 AM »
Starting this topic as a kind of a sequel to the Things to Do Before You Die -thread.

Here you can share the dreams that will come / came true. They can be things that you mentioned in the thread above, or some things that you already achieved in life.  8)

I'm starting by telling my dream come true for this summer;
As a graduation present, I got tickets for a concert in Stockholm. Willie Nelson. I really like his music, he is one of my favourites. The concert is now two weeks away, I'm excited!  :D

And of course one my dreams that came true this year, was my intern abroad in Paris. I enjoyed it so much and part of it is because of AB and my co-workers. Everybody being so nice to me.  :) And of course, the concert of Kyle Eastwood. It's been a good year so far.  O0

Now, list your 10 favourite actresses. If you like, you can specify what role made you a fan.  :)

I don't really have a favourite actress, so these are not in order as in the best one first. Just a list of actresses I like/ liked in a certain movie.

1. Kate Winslet - Well obviously Titanic was probably the first movie I saw from her. After that, there have been many roles I like her in. For example, Finding Neverland.

2. Meryl Streep - Bridges Of Madison County, Mamma Mia!

3. Hilary Swank - Million Dollar Baby, Boys Don't Cry, PS. I Love You

4. Keira Knigtley - Pride and Prejudice, Pirates Of The Caribbean

5. Anne Hathaway - Becoming Jane

6. Emma Watson - Harry Potter- movies

7. Liv Tyler - The Lord Of The Rings- movies

8. Irina Björklund - Finnish actress, liked her in Rukajärven tie and in Minä ja Morrison (finnish movies). Married to Peter Franzén (who I put in my favourite actor-list), living in Hollywood.

I'm out of actresses.  ;D I'll add later if I come up with something..

Off-Topic Discussion / The Picture Caption Thread
« on: January 07, 2008, 08:27:08 AM »
Here´s how it works. I´ll start by posting a picture. Others offer a caption for it, and I choose the one I like best. The "winner" posts the next pic.

Here we go..  ;)

So here it goes. I finished mine today. What did you think about it?

Once again, SPOILERS ALLOWED in this thread. So be careful when you're reading, if you haven't yet finished the book.  ;)

Off-Topic Discussion / My dad bought a gun
« on: February 24, 2007, 03:02:52 AM »
My dad has always dreamed of buying a gun, and now he actually did it! It´s quite similar to the one Clint uses in GBU.

Some say our family is crazy. Two Eastwood-fans!  :D And they also say that some men buy motorcycles when they have their 50th birthday, but my dad bought a gun..  ;D ;D

Here´s a picture, it´s a Richards-Mason Colt, model 1860 Army.

I held it and I really wonder how they manage to hold it straight, since it´s so heavy.  ;D

My dad had to go to the police station to show the gun, and the policeman he talked to, was really impressed. He said he doesn´t see those kind of guns every day and also said it was a magnificent gun.

Off-Topic Discussion / Finding a movie
« on: January 06, 2007, 02:20:32 PM »

I need some help from you guys. I would like to find this certain movie, Diamante Lobo aka A Bullet From God or God's Gun, starring Jack Palance and Lee Van Cleef. Could you recommend a store in the internet, where I could find it and order securely. They informed in the news not to give your credit card number anywhere in the internet so now I don't know if it's secure to order anywhere from the internet.  :-\ So I would like to hear your experiences on ordering movies etc from the internet, and a hint where I could find the movie. If possible, I would like to order the movie without using the credit card number. Is that possible anywhere? Using another way to pay, securely? Thank you so much!  :) :-*

Do you think it's reliable to order a poster here? I found a poster I would like to order but I'm not comfortable with the idea to give there my credit card number. I've heard a lot bad stuff in the news. They said you should never give your credit card number unless the page is reliable.

There are also Clint's autographs on sale.  ???

Off-Topic Discussion / Countries you've visited
« on: January 19, 2006, 09:15:50 AM »
So, I finally have time to start this topic I mentioned in another discussion.  8)

Share with us experiences from the places you've visited. You can tell what you liked/didn't like about the place.  :)

I've been in France, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Spain (the Canary Islands), and Greece. I liked all those places. :)

In Paris, my cellphone got stolen and I didn't feel or notice anything and neither did my mom. The thieves there are very clever with their hands. ;D Luckily, it was an old phone. It was time for a change. 8) Still, it was a good holiday.

In the Canary Islands I was with my grandmother and my brother. The men there really like blondes from the northern countries and I, as a blonde, got disturbed all the time. Even wimmen, who sold hair pieces on the streets, didn't leave me alone.  ;D :D

The town we were in, Playa del Ingles, was a place were tourists visit a lot. There was some carnival when we were there and the party kept going all night long. My granny didn't get much sleep, but I slept well. The holiday in whole went well, I think I would have been more annoyed by the disturbing men, if I had been older. ::)
