General Discussion / The Rookie - behind the scenes pics.
« on: January 22, 2015, 05:04:56 AM »
Hi guys - long time no see ! I've been pretty busy the last few years trying to weave my way through life. My Clint fandom has never waned, though !

As you may remember, one of my favorite Clint movies is The Rookie - unusual choice, you may think, but I personally feel it's not as bad as many people make it out to be.

I'm looking for as many behind the scenes and promotional pics of the movie as I can.

Can anybody help me out ?

Thanks guys !

P.S.: I've been wondering if this fantastic community has its own Facebook page - if so, I'd love to join it.

Questions & Answers / My graduation thesis
« on: January 26, 2011, 05:55:59 AM »
Hi fellas. As they say "a trouble shared is a trouble halved " and since I'm about to start working on my graduation thesis, I'd love some suggestions from you guys.
I want it to be about Clint but what I'm short on is ideas for the thesis. Ok, it's about Clint Eastwood, but that'd be too generic, I gotta narrow it down to just a single subject matter, but what specifically can it be about? I had an idea for it yesterday and that'd be to make it about Clint's evolution as a director. I thought you guys might toss around some ideas and suggestions.

Questions & Answers / Is Clint a cigars' smoker?
« on: June 15, 2008, 01:45:14 AM »
Guys, I was just wondering if Clint does smoke cigars...and if he does, do you know who introduced him to cigars? Maybe Schwarzy? Is it true they're good friends?

Hi guys. I watched "THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY" three days ago for the first time and thought it was TERRIFIC. I had never seen it and thought it was kind of a "chick-flick" or somethig like that and couldn't believe Clint had been able to realize a romantic movie. I mean, I know Clint can pull any movie off, but this looked like the ultime Rober Redford project to me. But then I said to myself:"hey man, this is Clint, he just can't mess anything up, he always can realize masterpieces and if this story hadn't been good enough, he'd not have brought it to the screen". And I was dead right!!
Let me say that romance movies are not my favorite genre, but I don't hate them....I'm just not into them. This movie really blew me away!! Clint's tremendous both as star and director and Meryl is outstanding as Francesca (she's Italian! Wow!). And what about the dialogs??? They're of the line I was most amazed of was:"the old dreams were good dreams. They didn't work out, but I'm glad I had them". This was one of the most beautiful lines I ever heard. what can I say about Clint? He was "different"...he played a completely different character audiences had known him for. And he played Robert perfectly..I mean, he was a great man, with a huge heart!  My heart just melted at the end...I know I'm a really emotional guy, but I couldn't believe I was about to cry.
Ten out of ten stars to this movie.

General Discussion / Clint's coolest quote(s).
« on: June 01, 2008, 01:36:34 AM »
Hello fellas. Coul you post some of the coolest quotes from Clint's film?

Hi fellows....I just would like to know if Clint's proud of having worked with an italian director like Sergio and, in general, with Italian cast and crew members....Is Clint proud of having worked with Italian people? Did he say something about this side of the Dollars trilogy? Does he like Italian people? Or does he feel kind of ashamed of having worked with a "poor" (back then, but even nowadays) production? Just wondering....
Personally, I'm EXTREMELY proud that a master Director like Sergio worked with a HUGE and GREAT actor and person like Clint, and viceversa.
