Eastwood News / Re: Sudden Impact OST
« on: April 04, 2008, 04:00:32 PM »
Hi guys,
OK, some good news and bad news...
Firstly the bad news and to answer Glenny's original question, Roberta Flack's vocal track  This side of forever  sadly did not make the list due to legal reasons.

So you need some cheering up right? The Good News.
Well I can confirm here now that The Dead Pool is presently in the works and should be Aleph's next full CD release, so hopefully not too long to wait  ;)

I can hear you cheering now  :)

Sorry to have to post some bad news, but I can confirm that the release of Sudden Impact will probably not happen now at least until the new year.

Eastwood News / Re: New Jazz Documentary (Dave Brubeck)
« on: October 08, 2007, 04:49:18 PM »
I wasn't sure if any news of this new project for Clint has been posted here yet, I did have a look around and just found an odd line within another story.
Anyway, the project is going ahead, here is a link to Reuters, which contains an interview with Clint and his Jazz roots etc.

If you are lucky enough to live anywhere near Indiana, you have a rare chance to see PAINT YOUR WAGON on the big screen, and very impressive it should look too, here's a very nicely made advertisement for the show which contains all the details.

George Grizzard has died at the aged of 79. His last screen appearance was in Clint Eastwood's 2006 film Flags of Our Fathers, he played the elder John Bradley.

Off-Topic Discussion / LOIS MAXWELL DIES 80
« on: October 01, 2007, 03:12:06 PM »
Yes, that lovely Miss Moneypenny has sadly died aged 80, she had been battling against cancer.
Everyone's favourite secretary, Lois moved from England to Australia a few years ago to be close to her family. I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful Lady, some 10-12 years ago, she was an absolute joy and always happy to talk about the character that she had simply made her own. A sad loss.

Hello Toto, that's actually Clint singing during the opening credits of The Beguiled... and not a flying pig in sight  ;) :)

KC I'm not sure if you are serious due to a lack of a smile or a wink? But nevermind.

AB, so glad you understood my light hearted comment concerning Director Elio Petri who, as you correctly said is standing next to Clint in the photo.  O0

Collectors' Corner / Re: Clint runs for Mayor t-shirt
« on: September 18, 2007, 02:31:57 AM »
I love the irony attached to this T.shirt, if you notice on the blow up image of the shirt, it is printed by 'LAUB' being Paul Laub who actually ran against Clint for Mayor, but certainly didn't mind cashing in on it along the way  ;)

Director Elio Petri looks too much like Manuel from Fawlty Towers for my liking!  ;D

October 3 American Film Institute will be holding a special evening screening 11 movies in one night, each introduced by the Star or Director, Tickets go on sale September 19th, more information can be found here:

Hi All, I think Philo is spot on with 1970 O0, probably the later half of 1970, as Clint states during this interview that he is about to start work next on The Beguiled.

Hey Richard, thanks for the PM, just out of interest my last piece of vinyl was this from a couple of months back.

A sweet sweet piece from the great Sinatra.

Eastwood News / Re: New Enforcer OST
« on: April 27, 2007, 11:08:09 AM »
Hi, just to clarify, the cover shot is from a publicity shoot for The Enforcer, one of the images from that shoot was later used to create the artwork for Sudden Impact. As well as the cover shot, the inside contains four other standard Enforcer WB stills, a Tyne Daly publicity shot and a previously unpublished photo (a location shot of Clint from the Liquor store robbery sequence). The music has been mastered rather nicely.
