Amazing, never before seen, outtakes from A Fistful of Dollars.

Shame there is no audio though

Hate to say it but, Play Misty For Me is dull.  I just dont like it much.  Had Clint not starred in it, I would never look at it again.  I did not care for Jessica Walters character, the jazz festival went on toooo long for my liking and the love scene dragged on a bit too.  I did however enjoy Don Siegels part and his interaction with Clint.

1.  Coogans Bluff - The score, the action, the bikes and Clint, cool as ice

2.  Kellys Heroes - The Score, the action, top cast and Clint, still cool as ice

3.  Play Misty For Me - Nicely shot and Clint

I have always liked Jack Cassidy as Miles Mellough in "The Eiger Sanction"

General Discussion / The Gauntlet - Locke or Streisand?
« on: March 28, 2014, 04:38:40 AM »
I have always loved "The Gauntlet" and not ashamed to admit it either.  I have never been a member of the Sondra Locke fan club and I have always felt that Barbera Streisand would have been a far better choice.  I know she was in the running for the part but lost out to Locke.

Who would you choose?

I came across this interesting Italian 4 foglio.

Considering Eastwood's massive popularity at the time, I wonder why they chose to exclude his image completely from this poster.

I like it though.

Thanks Mike, I knew you could help  :)

Love your statement -

In the US studios often treated the promo material like chewing gum paper and couldn't care less

Could not agree more Mike O0

Question for Mike ------

Do you know the reason for the mirror image on these French cards?

Sorry for poor image quality, I took the image on my camera phone up in my loft :)

It is a TERRIBLE film. Unfortunately. They look fantastic in their costumes - and that's about it.

Heading off topic here Mike, and I trust your judgement 100%, but I feel compelled to have a look at this film  ;)

I was going to bid on those KELLY LC's. Until I saw the condition

Agreed Mike, not the best condition, but at the price, I just had to  ;)

Somehow I was sure you'd have them already :)

Yep, I do........no harm in having another set though  ;)

And please don't tell me that hussy on the right is supposed to be Jean Seberg!   ;D

Looks more like Claudia Cardinale from "Once Upon A Time In The West" to me  :D

Like Homer in the "All Singing, All Dancing" episode of The Simpsons ...  ;)

 ;D ;D ;D

Still, no denying that it is a lovely poster  ;)

Great deal from emovieposter -

$13  :o

And this lovely Italian 2 Foglio mid 70s re-issue.  Note the artwork for Clints head has been taken from a publicity still from High Plains Drifter and Lee Marvins head taken from a still from Monte Walsh.

Still, great artwork.  Seeing this outside the cinema would make most people go and watch it...............only to be disappointed!!!

Collectors' Corner / Re: HELP (advice on buying a poster wanted)
« on: February 17, 2014, 05:30:24 AM »
Well that one is hard to come by. It sells for $300-$600 here and there, 700 pounds is a high price. A gallery price that certain customers pay, who do want it right away and don't want to search for months...

I agree with Mike here.  £899 is a gallery price.  I would expect to pay no more than £350-£400 for that title.  If you are not in a hurry to buy, then I would suggest that you keep checking good old eBay and other movie poster auction sites.

I will keep a look out for one and post here if I come across one.

Good luck
