Thanks you Hocine . ....
I fully agree with your comments on Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. ....
Contrary to many, it is one of my favourite Eastwood films !
It's quirky, lethargically paced, character driven, meandering, eccentric ,un - hollywood, low-key and benefits from repeated viewings.
I consider these to be it's strengths!
Unlike many, I can come back to it, time and again and find new insights.
It refuses to be genre pigeon holed.....it's its own beast, out there, not begging to be loved or appreciated.
I love it because it just doesn't give a damn !
I know in saying this, I'm in a tiny minority, but I love an underdog!

PS. ....that's  why I have a soft spot for Breezy, Hereafter and The 15 17 to Paris !!  Call them not typically Eastwood, and your right......but he directed them, so they ARE Eastwood.....that's what makes him such an interesting, unpredictable , complex, multi-faceted  and exciting film - maker. ....
Vive la difference. .....
