If you're referring to the missing link being Adam Sandler himself, then that's all we need to know!  ;)

Maybe now his 'true genius' will come out......  :P

Web Site Announcements / Re: New Board Moderators
« on: April 01, 2007, 06:58:22 AM »
Wow, just found these posts. Welcome D'Amb & Kid, I'm glad you guys will help run the board. Looking forward to it. D'Amb I'll always refer to as the sunglass man, referring to that first post way back when. It's a good thing I popped on the scene to correct him.  ;)  :D

Matt, or should I say Mr Gibb - hope all is well with you and you'll be missed, as a contributing mod at least. Yes, I noticed you haven't been around much for a long time, and I miss picking on you. My forgetting all my Photoshop skills because I'm not using them to pick on you.  ;D

Good luck D'Amb and Kid - cheers to the 2 new board cops!  ;)  8)

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Stallone, Seagal, Eastwood.....tough !

What is the quote on the bottom by his photo?  That can looks ridiculous.   My guess is that its billed to give you energy via mystical Asian herbs and anti-oxidants, but in reality its due to the crapload of sugar.

It says "A natural energy drink packed with vitamins and exotic botanicals."

What I found amusing was on the back of the can somewhere, he states “I have traveled the world creating this drink; there is none better."

Finally tried a can of Seagal's own Lightning Drink the other day - it was only $1 a can - and shockingly, it was probably the best tasting energy drink I've ever tried. And it actually picked me up some.

Only catch is, I think I spent about 3 hours on the crapper....but I felt like kickin' some a$$!!

I don't know if anyone's ever seen a fire rainbow, but they're quite unique. This one was spotted in June of last year in Idaho:

Here's a little more about it in National Geographic News.

It's a PC with an Mac sticker on it. Acer doesn't make Macs...only Apple makes Macs.

Tragically, Delp's death seems to have been a suicide.

First Capt. America gets snuffed, then Superman gets raped by a drill sargeant. What next? Or should I say who's next? Batman? Spiderman??  ???

The Dirty Harry Films / Re: Albert Popwell
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:38:57 AM »
I just watched an old episode of Rod Serling's Night Gallery last week, and Popwell had a brief appearance in it as a TV reporter. (The episode about the giant mice on the moon). Now that's an old classic series....

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: In Wiki We Trust....
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:34:24 AM »
I've use it at times as a handy reference tool to get a quick intro on a certain subject or topic (as it seems to be one of the first links that pops up on a typical Google search) - especially if it concerns an odd topic that might not be found elsewhere. But again, I wouldn't put a whole lot of money down on how valid the info is. It's certainly understandable why the college & uni profs will not accept it as a trusted reference.

On the other hand, if I had a choice between Wiki and the NY Times as which source was more trustworthy.....I'm afraid I'd lean more towards Wiki.  8)

Collectors' Corner / Re: Strange auctions for Eastwood items

Geez....some people will say anything to sell an item:

Clock like in Clint Eastwood movie In the line of Fire

Maybe I can buy a box of band-aids and sell them as "Band-Aid just like Clint Eastwood wore in Magnum Force!"

In Canada we get our Chinese food in Aluminum tins with cardboard lids, looks like a pie container.  I have never seen the square containers here!

Then I would question if it's authentic Chinese food!  Everybody knows Chinese use the white cardboard boxes!  ;)  :D
