Kid - the sweet & sour sauce usually comes in separate packets like the soy sauce. But as far as other menu items that come with sauce, the cartons are contstructed in a way that keeps it from leaking. Here's a site that kinda shows how they're made. You can build you own, start a new business in Australia and make a million!  ;)

...NOT. Just be careful when using user-edited sites such as Wikipedia as a trusted source.

They seem to be discouraged, DHC, at least if used as an av (ref. here) - especially if lots of people are doing it simultaneously. Can't think of anyone who has one anyway.  ;)

Nice gif, by the way.

Just saw this collecting dust, thought I'd throw in another clue:

This same character dies at the end of the movie.

Those last four were meant just as a joke.  8)

They can be thrown together in a few minutes. Most of the better software DVD players (such as WinDVD) can record and save short clips from movies. They are then edited/trimmed & shrunk (to 65x65 pixels) with any available program (in this case ImageReady - a program I rarely use, which came packaged with Photoshop). But you can take regular photos and 'morph' them, such as the one below, but those take can take longer to make, depending. The trick is to make them the smallest file size possible, as everyone doesn't have broadband.

No you're exactly right, KC. That's why I hesitated in the past to use them - cuz they can be "loud." They are fun to make, though. It was a slow weekend...as you can see.  ;)

Thanks Kid & AB.

Here's a couple others I was toying with that I ended up not using:

If you want to use any of them, feel free. I'll probably be coming up with some new ones shortly anyway....as you an see, mine don't have a very long lifespan.....   8)

Or we can combine the two and make him a Dirty-Harry-Joker vigilante:

We need to send these ideas to the game developers....  ::)

Yeah I'm not sure I like him with a green face....looks more like a horror-based game. Or he could be an invincible Callahan that comes back from the grave, wreaking total vengeance on all the rotten punks in society...  8)

Now I remember! It was the scene with Mrs. Grey in The Enforcer! I knew it would come back....  ;)

Thanks KC.   :D

Looks like it'll be good. They could do a little more work on Harry's face, though.  ;)

Judging from the video clip, sounds like they've compiled audio snippets from the original movie and possibly other films, because that's definitely a younger Eastwood's voice. In that cafe scene he mutters, "Now who might you be?" to the punk. I know I've heard that line before, but just can't recall what movie it's from. I think it was High Plains Drifter?

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Film vs Film
« on: March 01, 2007, 06:30:58 AM »
I finally caught up with What's Up Tiger Lily? at the Woody Allen retrospective at Film Forum this winter. And it is strange ... made me kinda want to see the film it's based on with its authentic dialogue, though. Say ... do you suppose Scorsese could be persuaded to do a remake?  :D

Interesting thought. Perhaps Scorcese could take Seven Samurai for example, and dub it over with a Goodfellas-type dialog - hiring De Niro, Pesci, and others to do the voiceovers.  ;)

Yes, What’s Up Tiger Lily? is an odd flick, considering it was more of a fun experiment with most of the dubbed lines being ad-libbed. It could have been much better without the added scenes spliced in which make it even more confusing, as mentioned on DVDjournal.com:

Quote
”… Saperstein inserted some completely incongruous musical numbers by the Lovin' Spoonful, which made Allen so angry that he threatened to sue the studio (he dropped all talk of suing when the film was released to good reviews, though.)…”

Despite that, I’d still say it’s more interesting than the original (Kagi no Kagi).  8)

Well, not to veer too much off the topic here:

What's Up Tiger Lily?   (Have you seen it, Agent? ??? )

Yes KC, first saw it on late-night TV as a kid. Was nice to see it finally come out on DVD. Kung Pow was so gawd-awful I didn't even want to mention it, but there's no other movie I can think of in that vein.
