General Discussion / james dean and clint eastwood
« on: January 24, 2003, 04:02:00 AM »
we all know  that james dean was an icon,he became a legend at a very young age and by acting in only three movies he became a hearthrob. i have always wondered, had he been living and with clint as to what he is today, who would have been a more famous actor. who would have been abigger star?

i always thought that clint would have been great in the dirty dozen as one of the prisoners, he has already worked with marvin, savalas and sutherland you think that would have been a possibility.

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re:Was The Good, The Bad... a prequel?
« on: January 18, 2003, 08:48:02 PM »
kc  i was watching good bad ugly yesterday, not that i was watching for the first time, but i observed that in the end at the semetary when three of them are about to draw and the camera is being focused at there gunbelts, lee van cleef has a missing middle finger nail, as if there has been an accident. my question is whether  he really had a missing finger tip or was it made to look like the same for the character.

Clint Eastwood Westerns / Re:high plains drifter again
« on: January 11, 2003, 09:57:48 PM »
moving on with it most of the characters clint has played in westerns have been of similar kind, where a stranger emerges from nowhere talks less his actions speak louder than his words. he has been a man with no name actually and a man with a lot of mystry. this image of his was what  attracted me towards his films.

when we are talking about high plains drifter , another movie which comes to my mind is 'pale rider'where the stranger comes to town from nowhere. and has a terible past. isnt this character similar to that of  what clint played in 'drifter'
