No hits for Ichiro in tonight's game. Maybe he can do it over the weekend.

I hope so, too!! ;)

" Ichi-throw: No hits, but outfielder gets assist "

Quote
MIAMI -- Fans may have wanted to see Ichiro Suzuki make history with his bat in the Marlins' 11-6 loss to the Cardinals on Friday night at Marlins Park, but he instead showed off his arm.

Ichiro, who went 0-for-4 and still needs two hits to become the 30th player in Major League history to reach 3,000 career hits, drifted down the left-field line with one out in the fourth and threw a laser home to nail Kolten Wong at the plate on what would've been a sacrifice fly. The assist held St. Louis to a 3-1 lead at the time.
Per Statcast™, the 42-year-old's throw topped out at 91.6 mph and traveled a distance of 239 feet. It was his second-hardest throw from the outfield this season.

It would be tonight? !  Ganbare~, Ich!!   :)

" Ichiro is scheduled to start tonight. Ready to witness history? "

OFFICIAL: Ichiro is scheduled to start tonight, two hits from 3,000.

" 2-9-9-8, Ichiro is really great; Go, Fish "

" Veteran notches No. 2,998 with pinch-hit double Thursday "

Quote
Ichiro is now just two away from the 3,000-hit milestone.
The Marlins announced after the game that Ichiro would be in Friday's starting lineup, giving him a good shot to make history at home. Fans can watch live look-ins at his plate appearances on MLB.com and with the At Bat app.

Quote
"I think everyone's excited to see this happen," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "That's one of the things that's been fun to watch. It's been fun to watch him."
Even Jose Fernandez, who was icing his arm in the clubhouse after a five-inning start, joined in on the fun like the rest of the crowd.
"We were rooting," he said. "I was with [Wei-Yin] Chen inside here. We were yelling. We were jumping and yelling inside the clubhouse."
Ichiro is also just two hits shy from becoming the 30th player in Major League history to reach 3,000 hits and tying Roberto Clemente on the all-time hit list.
Ichiro's teammates, including Fernandez, have enjoyed being a part of his historic chase.
"It's just an honor," Fernandez said. "It's just a privilege to be a part of the history that he's making. To me, he's amazing. I have no words to put how I feel about him and how much I admire him as a baseball player."
The double was Ichiro's 350th of his career and just another late-and-close hit for him. The 42-year-old is hitting .335 this season but 15-for-31 (.484) in late-and-close situations.
"He's been the guy we can rely on all season long," Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto said. "Late in the game when we need a big hit, he's seemed to come through eight out of 10 times. That's almost what it feels like."

At some point in the next week or two, Ichiro Suzuki will collect his 3,000th major league hit and become the 30th player ever to reach that milestone. The Marlins begin a lengthy homestand on Friday, July 22, making that 10-game stretch the probable date range for the 42-year-old Japanese marvel to achieve his goal.

Just pre-ordered my ticket for...

Can't wait! I loved the 1960 version and it's sequels but I don't know about this one. The original had that memorable theme but in this trailer for this one modern music unless they're keeping the theme a secret remixed perhaps for the film. But maybe I'll give the ticket away Matthew is bugging me like crazy so badly it may be time soon

How could they re make The Magnificent Seven.... Honestly :(

Hi, Shannon! Do you have already watched  Kurosawa's " Seven Samurai " ?!  ???

" Bill Cunningham, Legendary Times Fashion Photographer, Dies at 87 "

Quote
Bill Cunningham, who turned fashion photography into his own branch of cultural anthropology on the streets of New York, chronicling an era’s ever-changing social scene for The New York Times by training his busily observant lens on what people wore — stylishly, flamboyantly or just plain sensibly — died on Saturday in Manhattan. He was 87.

Unfortunately, scenario of  "Flags of Our Fathers" was a story that was made based on the testimony of a lie!! ???

" Man in Iwo Jima Flag Photo Was Misidentified, Marine Corps Says "

 http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/24/us/politics/marines-iwo-jima-flag-photo-mistaken-identity.html?_r=0

Quote
WASHINGTON — An internal investigation by the Marine Corps has concluded that for more than 70 years it wrongly identified one of the men in the iconic photograph of the flag being raised over Iwo Jima during one of the bloodiest battles of World War II.

The inquiry found that a private first class, Harold Schultz, was one of the six men in the photograph, which received a Pulitzer Prize. And it determined that a Navy hospital corpsman, John Bradley, whose son wrote a best-selling book about his father’s role in the flag-raising that was made into a movie directed by Clint Eastwood, was not in the image.

Mr. Schultz, a mail sorter who died in 1995 at age 70, never publicly acknowledged that he was in the photograph. According to his stepdaughter, he discussed it only once with his family, mentioning it briefly one night during dinner in the early 1990s as they talked about the Iwo Jima battle.

“My mom was distracted and not listening and Harold said, ‘I was one of the flag raisers,’ ” his stepdaughter, Dezreen MacDowell, said in a telephone interview on Wednesday.

“I said, ‘My gosh, Harold, you’re a hero.’ He said, ‘No, I was a Marine.’ ”

“After he said that, it was clear he didn’t want to talk about it,” she said. “He was a very self-effacing Midwestern person. He was already sick, and died two or three years later.”

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Last live concert you attended
« on: June 18, 2016, 09:21:23 PM »

I went to see Kyle to Reims (150 Km from PARIS) because I would like to visit The Chapel of Fujita at Reims since long time! And I decided to go to there without hesitation when I knew that Kyle's concerts will be held in Reims! And my son gave me the concert ticket for the gift of The Mother's Day!! O0
This time once again the drummer was changed! Only pianist Andrew McCormack was always with Kyle for almost 10 years!  Andrew is a great pianist!!
For several years already, since when Michael Stevens, playing keybord who worked with Kyle on many projects, especially  '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' was left, Kyle plays bass for '' Letters from Iwo Jima '' with Andrew McCormack's piano is still beautiful and emotional!! 8)
And this night they replayed the first time since longtime "Big Noise Re-Remix" and "Marrakech Remix" Kyle has changed one of his electric guitar, green one to red!! But his whistles unfortunately does not change! ???  His dad did much better!! ;)  Anyway it was the great gig!! O0 8)
And after the concert, I had the chance to talk with Kyle and Andrew! ::)   Kyle gave me several autographs in ' CLINT A Retrospective by Richaed Schikel ' which I brought from PARIS!!   I told Kyle that 'It was very heavy' !! Then he took my hands and caressed!! He was very nice!! :-*
They had drinking champagne that night in place of the usual beer!! :o  Because Reims is the famous Champagne regions!!  It was very nice evening!!  :)

'' Pink Cadillac " is a boring film, not interesting!  That sounds remade by a Comics!  I hated all the Clint disguises!!  :-\

But noticed that there are many recognized faces!!

I have the DVD of '' Pink Cadillac " for a long time but I've never wanted to watch even once !!  :-\ ( I watched that twice on TV!)
But thanks to this challenge I opened the box of this DVD finally for the first time !! O0  But after watching that, I put once again this DVD in the box saying "Goodbye!!" :(

" White Hunter, Black Heart ", in this film Clint plays trying to express a vicious character, but I think it completely fails !! ??? :-X

It was a pity that the scene of horse riding of the beginning, was not Clint himself, was the performance of Stuntman!! :-\ ???
